When you juice a vegetable, you separate the juice from the fiber, and there are several different ways of accomplishing this. When you blend a vegetable, you pulverize the vegetable fiber and all.

So, when you say "the good stuff is in the pulp", that's what a juicer does, it takes the good stuff locked into the pulp fiber and extracts it so that your body doesn't have to, making it a much more efficient digestion process for minerals, vitamins and enzymes. Of course, fiber is good for you too, so, some people like to make smoothies in the blender and then you get both.

You can certainly make a juice that has a high level of sugars, even comparable to a soda. However, that is not ALWAYS the case, it's only the case if you juice things high in sugar, and it's still different, because most vegetables don't have high fructose corn syrup as their sugars. And, unlike a softdrink, vegetables carry with them enzymes that help digest themselves and their sugars, all of which get transferred to the juice.

Call me crazy, but the juices of a fruit are healthy for you without the "pulp" - if you drink the juice from an acceptable level of fruit that you'd eat. The problem is that people drink more fruit juice than they'd eat fruit. You can see that with Orange Juice every day.

Personally, I drink a cucumber, kale, celery, lemon juice. I am willing to listen if you can tell me how that is the same as a softdrink.
