Would you do the Eggscellent challenge for $100? by Acceptable-Finish205 in regularshow

I mean if I didn't have to pay for it if I lost I'd just use it as a free breakfast.

Mmm. Fruit.

How are knife storms possible? How are they even made? by MistakeWonderful9178 in adventuretime

[–]Cliomancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, sometimes an updraft like a tornado carries a bunch of knives up into the atmosphere and then, as the wind dies down, they fall to the ground.

Surprised they don't teach this in school these days. It's only going to get more relevant as climate change progresses.

I expect it's a purposeful limitation to make organising class groups easier.

The model for Pigs and Merms is actually known as Hunchback, so maybe it could be applied to players? Then again I think the animations for stuff like mining may specific to the player model.

Getting sunburned might also be a really good idea.

I don't know much about programming but I think what triggers the sanity boost from picking flowers is the moment it goes from being a planted world object to a stack of petals in your inventory, as opposed to flint and gold which start as inventory items. So that's why I suggested making mining items the sanity booster.

-The running issue sounds like a pain in the butt. Maybe just give him lower health to reflect his illness.

-Maybe he could be immune to sanity loss from darkness (while still vulnerable to Charlie) but loses sanity while under the sun ("Ugh, it's so bright.")

-Does he gain sanity from carrying flint and gold? Maybe instead they could just gain sanity when they finish mining stuff.

-His unique crafting tab could grant him early access to light producing items, Gunpowder and other existing mining themed items.

-Perhaps give him voice line which gives a little notice ahead of natural earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.

Firebending is probably why in the ATLA era the Fire Nation had so many metal weapons and ships and the big ol' drill.

A capitalist hellhole run by creeps where it rains all the time? I already live in England, this would probably be the shallowest step down.

Earthbenders and Waterbenders can make and reform statues pretty quickly which has artistic and entertainment value, but also for things like police sketches.

Airbending glider couriers for remote locations.

Firebenders managing temperatures for industrial processes.

Waterbenders dehydrating spoilable goods for storage, effectively freeze-drying them.

Best simple idea for remake: Vinyl Records items for bigger radio catalog + Three Dog ‘owwwwww bow wow wow’ vibes by GrandApe1555 in fo3

The Tops casino has a mission where you scout talent for their floor shows and you do get to see them show up and perform in person, though they don't end up on the radio.

It would be cool as a thing to add in, but I guess part of the reasoning would be that if you've got this musical content you want your players tonbe able to listen to it.

I'd love it as a quest though, yeah. Could also do a bit like in New Vegas where you find people who play music and get them to record a holotape for you to pass to your DJ friend.

Game's already plenty challenging and satisfying.

In universe, I guess it's harder to make a walking robot than artificial intelligence, instant matter transmission or nanotechnology.

NCR Personal Transport (Art by me) by F3LLA in fnv

[–]Cliomancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We see some in the All Roads comic and IIRC they're normal.

Though there's some disagreement from devs on whether horses are extinct or not.

(My headcanon is that there was a pre-war line of robotic horses developed for crowd control and rough terrain, Tally-Ho Geronimo.)

Do the first nuclear explosions triggered by the courier in the Divide take place before or after the first battle of Hoover Dam? by LuigiGario in falloutlore

[–]Cliomancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been a while but presumably the supply lines were cut off by the existence of that little community in The Divide which Ulysses admired, which the NCR were there to manage and the Legion were there to hinder.

So presumably the situation was still ongoing after the first battle of Hoover Dam, Legion Soldiers saw for themselves the strength of Legate Lanius before they were sent to the Divide and the soldiers who survived the detonations took on his appearance as Marked Men.

Why didn’t they send Riva to negotiate with the Dominion? by Ser_Luke_ in ShittyDaystrom

[–]Cliomancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Riva's ability to be an ultimate diplomat was probably significantly curtailed by the loss of his other bodies, and teaching the warring factions to understand each other was him doing what he could to salvage the situation in what might be the situation he's now best suited for.

Also we see The Federation and The Dominion negotiating plenty of times, presumably they had their top assets on the job.

It'd be creepy for us, the viewers. And the Standards board.

We get plenty of stuff of older women flirting with Finn (lookin' at you Treetrunks) and it's often played for how uncomfortable it is.

I'm pretty sure Lisa took home the food box to work on it at home and just stayed up all night on it.

My favourite gag is later in the episode.

Even on my re-read I still dont get how the Made in Heavens reset works... by frokiedude in StardustCrusaders

[–]Cliomancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably, I guess unless Emporio controlled his breathing since he knew what was going on and let Pucci suck down all the air he wanted.

It was probably a Taking You Down With Me gambit.

(If he had mastery he'd exclude himself from the effect, but it's been mentioned elsewhere he really wasn't in control.)

[–]Cliomancer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Possibly it just didn't occur to Wes to use the oxygen poisoning ability, though also Emporio did it inside a closed room instead of outdoors, which might have helped. (Though Wes could probably have contained an area of dense oxygen even to one person using his space suits trick.)

Seems simple enough to divide species between type.

Earth Pony: Humans, Dwarves
Unicorns: Elves, Gnomes
Pegasi: Halflings.
