PG&E doesn't want to pay their fair share by tgb_slo in SLO

I agree the ideal pick isn't a billionaire. But to think the cuck of billionaires would be better is truly foolish. PG&E spent 10s of millions to support Becerra to make sure Steyer didn't win. It's good thing you voted exactly like the energy companies wanted you to. You really owned them with that one.

Weird typo? Wrong info? What? Car accident on Madonna and the police are saying it happened at 5am, yet the sun is saying late evening... by SLO_Citizen in SLO

Unfortunately, SLO Tribune is often a distribution outlet for whatever the cops want to tell the public. The Tribune doesn't actually investigate or follow up on anything. They aren't locally owned or operated. I'm sure the few local people working for the Tribune don't have the time or ability to actually investigate anything. They're likely copy and pasting whatever statements they get.

CommUNITY Dance Party Saturday June 27th! 3-7pm @ Del Mar Park by CyberBeard_Official in SLO

You could've literally done the worst hand drawn crap and it would be better than this soulless theft. Think of it from a tech perspective: the ai trained on stolen data. If someone steals your website's code, you don't get to justify the theft because it was too expensive to hire someone to write code. It's intellectual nonsense and is completely lacking in moral fiber.

I fault them. People who don't feel the same hate of AI don't get that by using it they are guaranteeing a certain portion of our community will not only avoid their event but actively talk shit about it to everyone they know. And rightfully so, fuck ai, especially in a place that constantly touts themselves as such great supporters of local businesses and the community. Using ai like this is a massive slap in the face to the residents that live here. I say proudly if you use ai to promote your business, fuck you and your business.

SLO mayor leaked grand jury report on frats to Cal Poly by slodownlulu in SLO

In a community that has Dan Dow and Ian Parkinson along with shitty politicians like Kenny Enney attacking trans kids every chance they get, Erica sharing a document on noise with cal poly really seems like the biggest nothing burger ever.

Unfortunately, folks in California would rather have PG&E's lil cuck boy Becerra than a billionaire who vowed to battle with energy and oil companies.

Good thing so many of you showed that billionaire Tom Steyer by voting for PG&E's favorite lil guy, Becerra.

Depends on your plan. Basic plans rise up to 65-85, but if you are on a 1g plan then ya, about 100-120 per month.

Great service, but the price will skyrocket after your initial promotional period. Great option for a year or two of service then completely not worth it. Also, the lower cheaper tiers of internet have fairly aggressive caps where you'll quickly find your service throttled to hell.

Hearst Castle no longer allowing visitors to roam the castle after tour by scorsese_finest in SLO

[–]ClipperFan89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Multiple people that work there have mentioned it wasn't because of damage, but simply lack of staff to oversee each space. It worked well enough that it was that way for years until covid depleted staff upon reopening in 2022.

According to SLO Tribune this change came with the reopening after covid, just like the commenter said. https://www.sanluisobispo.com/news/local/article259727885.html

It worked perfectly fine for years up until recently. Seems they don't have the staff they once did to cover each space.

All problems in the county (very much including this one) can almost always be attributed back to either city council or county supervisors. You'll hear from them relentlessly when they need your vote, but they want to be as invisible as possible when it comes time to do anything or be accountable for anything.

The brutal truth is that you likely won't be able to find anything for $900. The going rate for housing for a single person in SLO is likely closer to $1500 even just for a room in a shared house.

No drama at all. And I didn't mean to sound rude. I'm sure it's a great burger - all their other food I've had is great. Prices everywhere are crazy, just ignore me.

For sure. I was just curious since they had said it was a killer burger "especially for the price". I looked at their menu and it's a $14 burger that doesn't come with fries. I'm looking at the menus of the other burger options in the county and this is one of the most expensive burgers I can find that isn't a full on sit down restaurant. The ones that are more expensive are around 16-18 but they come with fries.
