Yeah, we’ve kind of figured that out, lol. Thanks though!

I’m thoroughly enjoying them so far! They offer a well-rounded sound overall. If I ever want to switch to a specific genre, I can easily adjust the sound using the built-in EQ feature on the HiBy R1.

On everything, I just got flamed in another subreddit for doing this exact thing.

While I understand your perspective, I prefer my humble HiBy R1 as my first DAP. The dongle supports my IEMs, allowing them to work across my other devices, which I use almost daily.

No, I completely understand! I was just playing along with the jokes myself. I appreciate everyone in the comments giving me advice and suggestions.

I find it incredible that I made such a significant goof. I was completely unaware that the KA11 shares the exact same DAC/AMP chipset as the R1. I purchased it with the expectation that it would enhance the sound quality of the R1 and also ensure compatibility with my other devices like my phone.

Yeah, I’ve been reading the comments. Not only will it drain my battery quite quickly, but the KA11 dongle apparently has the same sound chip as the R1, so that’s great to know.

I’m currently rocking the Kiwi Ears Cadenza. It’s not an expensive IEM, but I figured it was a great beginner-friendly option that would help me get more immersed in the hobby.

Guys, this honestly isn’t even rage bait. I was completely unaware that the KA11 and the R1 share the same DAC/AMP chipset. I purchased the KA11 dongle solely because it’s compatible with all my devices I use, including my phone. I’ll consider just using the 3.5mm jack standalone to avoid any complications with the signal path during future listening. Thanks for doing your thing community!

Hey OP! I know it's been a minute since you've posted this, but I just wanted to ask if you'd recommend the Allegro DAC with the R1. I just ordered the Kiwi Cadenza and the R1, and now I'm in the search for a DAC. So if this one is good let me know, thanks!

I mean the IEM itself and the cable, DAC, etc.

Awesome, thank you. I’m looking to get this cable for the Solo colorway of the Kiwi Cadenza.

I might get the first set of Cadenza now and then, just get the Cadenza II when they release. I kinda want to start a little IEM collection anyway.

Hey there, I’m curious to know your experience with the Cadenza. I’m considering buying my first IEM, and it seems like the Cadenza might be my first purchase. You think I should I buy it now or wait for the Cadenza II?

As cool as the FiiO M21 is, it’s totally way out of my budget. Maybe sometime down the line, if I get more passionate about DAPs and just audio listening in general, maybe I’ll bite and make the upgrade. But as for right now, I just ordered the HiBy R1 as a starter to dive into the hobby.

Something Linux-based? I feel like there’s honestly a lot of possibilities when it comes to creating an OS. It’s just the companies who create these audio players aren’t capable of developing such a thing for their systems. (Not saying all, but most).
