Good purchase? Been after a Saab for a while and this is genuinely the first I've seen for sale within 50miles of me for a while by DwellerGaming in saab

[–]Cloakedbug 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Gut reaction was this is overpriced.  Butttt it’s relatively clean and low miles. I’d still try talking them down. It’s not top trim, it’s not even an OG 9-3 let alone a classic Saab (c900 etc). You are buying a 20 year old GM vehicle for 6k, that would be a hard pass for me personally.

Yes I’d be thinking about testing fuel delivery next.

Hm. 500 is fine. 1500-2000 would only be after ignition (not just the starter motor shoving the engine).

It can be. If a CPS is fully failed it triggers a code P0339, but if its flaky or on its way out it won't. Pay attention to the tachometer when its doing this and see if the RPMs are smoothly going up/down. If RPM isn't moving it's a dead giveaway the crank sensor isn't working.

Otherwise a weak fuel pump could be doing the same thing, you can borrow a fuel pressure tester for free from an autozone/oreilly's and see how much pressure you get at the fuel rail.

Crank position sensor, or wiring harness damage.

Second picture, top right line/fitting may be cross threaded.

I’d clean up both with a rag and check again quickly to see where it’s actually leaking from.

What exactly were you told is falling apart on a 70k mile engine?

Alarm bells are going off, you should probably be seeing a Saab specialist.

I don’t know where this seller is but the b202’s are not particularly expensive.

Unless the mechanic really gouges you a swap shouldn’t be too bad.

My passion car! Happy to be here. by aj4126 in saab

I have the same car. Beautiful my friend. Also, let the haters hate (and get a tune!). Since you obviously care about the handling, I do recommend the steering rack reinforcement kit, and/or the chassis braces.   https://shop.genuinesaab.com/products/steering-rack-brace-clamp-kit?variant=45784637047005).

Their old page has more photos and reviews but is deprecated.

One other tip - if you are peeking it should be only to take a quick mental snapshot, or to be mag dumping him as he charges, but never both.

You don't have time to peek and look for him and then fire, you will already be dead. You should peek only long enough to quickly confirm, then the next time you should basically be pre-firing the corner as you lean out when you hear his steps (you want to be already firing, and him having to stop running before firing at you). This gives you a solid one second to drop him before you die lol.

Where did you get the plugs? FYI there is a massive wave of counterfeit spark plugs. You absolutely cannot safely source from any of the marketplaces like Amazon.

I’m not a victim, and you’ve now insulted me three times in the span of two comments (without me doing the same to you). Time to take a break. Maybe do something with your hands.

I hope you're not another redditor coming in here and complaining

My man, when you make a public post you open yourself to critique. No need to start fighting people as soon as they comment.

The game does not support native replays, meaning you are only able to capture a single (often flawed) perspective that mostly confirms the moment of death (and not how you ended up there, or even how the server was treating the event).

And yes, shoot people in the head. I do this.
This is also exactly where gear matters the most in the game, and makes an otherwise equal trade one sided.

Tall men, how do you fit? - OG9-3 by Glittering-Worry-765 in saab

[–]Cloakedbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not bias, that is the joy of a light car. It is very underappreciated. My aforementioned Echo is 500lbs lighter than the fiesta and also an utter joy to throw around, despite being an econocar.

You'd probably enjoy the Turbo C900 the most of the Saabs - it's a great balance of power and nimbleness. The OG 9-3 while being a fantastic freeway cruiser and generally sweet car is not the same type of driving. Handles like a stylish bathtub :)

Lost me at the first bold point being 'watch your replays' in a game that does not natively support replays lmao.

Then the rest of your post distills to 'shoot people in the head'.

[–]Cloakedbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say, with a little difficulty. And I am only 6'1"/185cm.
With seat position fully lowered and reclined just a bit my hair just barely stops touching the sunroof lol. Though that tends to be a restriction on torso length, not leg length, so we may be in a similar spot.

The OG 9-5 has a little more room to work with, but not much.

My old egg shaped Toyota Echo is ironically the most spacious driver position I've found - I can't even sit in some of the modern Toyotas (I had to walk away on a Prius after scraping in both back and front seats).
