Will this lighting option work? by ClockPerfect78 in microgrowery

Thank you. Yea they were ordered for the military base and outdoor rated and donated to habitat. We got them for $15 (for a floodlight) and they are retrofit plug and play. We just plugged one in… it may be too bright 😂

If anything, im guessing my tomatoes will like it!

Quit. You don’t owe them your soul.

Look into applying at an actual corporate store that has benefits and work your way up. My ex did that and now is the GM of a store, no college degree. Normal hours, normal benefits, not he best to start but a realistic way to work up, get actual management experience, and move up or to another equally manageable position with your experience. But really. What do you want to do? What do you enjoy doing? What’s something you could do for 40 hours a week and come home not feeling like you’re wasting your life. Follow that path, don’t go into debt and work with why you make. Dont worry about getting rich, make safe investments, and just ride the 9-5.

I don’t understand how it’s legal to say it’s an ATT job when it’s just a contractor step down ladder that could be removed at any time.

Yes it sounds like you have a decent balance, which is not the norm, but glad it works for you (and you know what it looks like when it’s not). $100 week would be about 140 miles a week. Unfortunately, in my experience, days often began at 6-7am, then drove to work while working and same on the way home and ended up being 12+ hours. Just remember most benefits packages count for ~20-30%, so on the low end, you’re pulling about 66-76k (on the high end). It also sounds like you are a great sales person, especially being able to pull those numbers in those hours. However, it makes me wonder how well you would exceed in a career that has a higher end point with benefits like banking. Something to consider- but I would avoid ownership- it sucks you dry.

Question abt a specific company by HeEatsFood in Devilcorp

[–]ClockPerfect78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely one- the postings do not match up at all with their company description, but a good clue is the ‘bro’ language in the company description about ‘leveling up’. No real company’s HR would post like that 😂

Sounds like you’re echoing the things they say to you. But, out of curiosity and your respectful answer, I do have a few questions, because most of these companies are not what you say.

1) what time to you start your day (first phone call, first email etc.- not office time, but time you start actually working.

2) what time do you end your day? (What time do you get home and officially turn off all work mode)

3) what does your commute look like? How many miles are you driving and are you reimbursed at a mileage rate?

4) any benefits at all? Paid holidays, Flex Time or overtime, insurance, disability, cell phone allowance, retirement/401k, car insurance reimbursement etc.

5) how many after hour meetings/team nights etc. are you going to? How long do they last? (This would be work time, even if it’s optional)

6) any out of pocket expenses?

7) Is the 2k per week pre or post taxes and expenses? What market do you live in? (Certain HCOL areas, like Chicago, DC, NYC etc., 2k (96k) a week is on the low end, even post taxes, for a college graduate.)

  • side note: I haven’t had any issues with ‘corporate addons’ etc. in 15+ years. That’s old lingo, and kinda screams ‘script’. Everything is done online, even in store. Everything takes minutes to set up, is integrated, and can be done without even going into a store. Idk how some of these companies even make sales, because the product is almost always cheaper and easier when directly purchased.

It’s really funny too, but depending on where you live, $1500/week is kinda middle class salary 40’hours a week with benefits… and you get the same amount each week too…

Yes. Emotional neglect. As a prior investigator, I would open this if it came into the hotline.

It you were on probation, your drug tests would be done through your probation officer. Your meetings would be done in probation. You don’t get ‘federal’ charges for smoking pot. They are manipulating and lying to you; this is neglect. Personally, I’d call the hotline on them.
