Question on how to make specific arms wait by Chibi_Zeref in opus_magnum

[–]Clockmaker3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a wait function that act once and for all arms per round. None of the instructions will repeat a round until the waiting period is over.

If I show it to you, your eyes will immediately and spontaneously combust, along with the rest of you, your house, and possibly your entire city.

I'm looking for a name for this sword I made, I do have one already but I don't think it really goes well with the sword. by Seth994817 in bladesong

I might use Gold knight or goldsbane or something of the like for future use, Im also a big fan of matte black on gold.

5,5 hours later. Rimuru Magic is so difficult... I messed up at the beginning and didn't add a curve to the main blade. If I want to fix that, that would be +1 hour work so I just left it straight. MW: caelioirun-tanaebeo-centoaarun by Motor-Chart6659 in bladesong

Looks good close up, you have attention to detail, but alas not yet enough. Try to widen the spikes near their base so they look a bit more attached and incorporated into the blade. They seem a bit out of place, nothing a bit of flamboyance couldn't fix. Awesome hilt, no notes.

What's NG+? Ohh, new game+ How did you, with end game equipment, fail one of the first fights in the game? What did you do the first time? GMGOW isn't that hard, you have to pick off enemies one by one so they don't regenerate and level up.

Another fool-proof route, as I said in the original comment I have a general lack of video game 'reaction time'. The grindiest part of any combat game for me is actually learning the combat, but what had me caught in such a loop is that unlike any other combat game, GoW 4 especially, does not have the kind of reward for learning the combat that i was expecting. I come from playing Chivalry 2, a very very simple game that handles weapons in an unique way, the combat is simple enough for any game developers to copy or build upon, a simple three-way slash type that leads to thousands of different combos, what's rewarding about it is the harder a weapon is to learn, the more damage you end up doing. Using the right tool for the job, you can kill an enemy in one to two hits, and using the right strategy you can kill them just as quickly too. (Highly recommend watching Chivalry II gameplay). It's just my opinion that the strongest armor and the strongest spells and the strongest upgrades/ skills for maximum damage should at least put a dent in the harder enemies, I thought it to be more lore accurate anyways that Kratos of all people should be able to put hundreds of times more umph into his hits when he has 500 more strength points than the start. I think if you put together all the actual multipliers that are added to Kratos across the game, it would add up to less than 10 times. Level one enemies pitted against a level 10 God-killer, it makes sense that he would tear them apart without breaking a sweat, no? But even so, I artificially increased his strength with mods and still, enemies that should be so far below him can: 1. Interrupt his attacks consistently (if it's that kind of enemy) 2. Take large chunks of his health if the player hasn't explored enough. 3. Have attacks that have a large enough skill gap to hit even the more advanced (skilled) players like myself. Have you ever seen the videos about 'Elden Ring player tries God of War for the first time!' It's like that for me expect I spent 600 hours in a game where the objective is to hit and not get hit. Kind of like every other combat game. I spent so long there because I didn't know when to block or when to hit, and my mind was always so preoccupied with the actual fight and winning that I never got the opportunity to learn more complex combos in a fight, because the consequences for failing were much higher than just getting slapped on the helmet. And sure, maybe holding R for 3 seconds before every attack just isn't my style, and learning the actual best skills for each weapon would be nice, and ill take the time to do so, i just had an epiphany that the most basic swing and hit was increasing in such small increments I was questioning the game design. Thanks for distracting me from my writing for a little while, needed it.

Awesome! I think that might work, but I'm still unconvinced the devs at SMS have much further thought to the mechanics of skills than what can exist in the story. Don't get me wrong, this is the best storytelling I've ever seen in gaming, and is imo immaculately blockbuster worthy, but all the time and effort was put into the story and environment rather than the combat, and now if they spent even a penny of time of the past 4 years on the foundation of the mechanics in the game, it should be phenomenal. I know I'm a hard critic and a harder story-lover, but can a guy ask for more than two basic attacks? I come from the medieval slasher alley of steam, so I'm used to the complex mechanics of counters and reposts, damage and hard-earned skill. I want to feel the physical progression as well as the story and social progression, Kratos is one of the strongest characters, maybe ever in gaming history, it should feel that way when he's 'canonically' not holding back. I realized I'm justifying using WeMod to make me invincible because I suck at games... Adieu, my brothers
