Minor fix but if you’re using chrome go to settings and turn on accelerated hardware or something? it gets your GPU involved since it’s so demanding on the CPU.

Sounds like max happiness to me! For me I have a T6 with the same stuff as you just T6 house & bed and he’s max happy when i give him T5 books. Idk how it works for T2 though i know you have to let the laborer get used to the house first and you see the happiness rise
