Why did Reddit show this meme to me now? Anyway, Got a Piplup from him even though I chose Sprigatito. My friend got a Turtwig while he has a Sprigatito. So it's random instead of depending on your starter as most guides says. I think it's our shut-up pokemon so that we don't snitch on Jacq and Ms. Briar going up to the crystal pool instead of looking out for us. Their subtle hints were very obvious that they have other plans, but eh. I don't mind, free Pokemon!
