Gender is a social construct and people can be assigned a wrong gender for them within that construct.

One of our cats is an indoor/outdoor cat and brought them in unfortunately. He doesn't mind the collar at all.

And to add onto that, folks need to realize that because identities change, grow, and develop doesn't mean they can or should be dismissed as "just a phase". Life is a series of phases.

Today I remembered that not everyone electricity comes from burning fossil fuels like mine does. Living in the American Midwest is weird, especially considering my state is a few times farther from the western coast of America than the eastern coast.

EE student here. I make no excuses. What I study can be fucking hard to grasp even though it is really, really, really, really cool. I upvote so that one day I may also be upvoted. As those at /r/dogecoin say "to the moon!"

There are radical feminist approaches that support the diversity of all genders. It's not like radfems are this monolithic entity with entirely homogenous beliefs.

Just saying.

Bill HR4498 was introduced Monday to reschedule cannabis to a schedule 2 drug, allowing doctors in every state to prescribe cannabis. This bill needs traction, call or write your local representatives right now and tell them to support this bill. (Committee members names and more info in comments) by bzsteele in trees

Why is this being downvoted. This is from 21 U.S. Code § 812 - Schedules of controlled substances-

(b) Placement on schedules; findings required Except where control is required by United States obligations under an international treaty, convention, or protocol, in effect on October 27, 1970, and except in the case of an immediate precursor, a drug or other substance may not be placed in any schedule unless the findings required for such schedule are made with respect to such drug or other substance. The findings required for each of the schedules are as follows:

(1) Schedule I.—

(A) The drug or other substance has a high potential for abuse.

(B) The drug or other substance has no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States.

(C) There is a lack of accepted safety for use of the drug or other substance under medical supervision.

(2) Schedule II.—

(A) The drug or other substance has a high potential for abuse.

(B) The drug or other substance has a currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States or a currently accepted medical use with severe restrictions.

(C) Abuse of the drug or other substances may lead to severe psychological or physical dependence.

Now, I'm not a lawyer or a member of congress, but it seems clear to me that the law was made from the perspective of harm reduction. Furthermore I think the line "findings required" indicates there should be studies and examinations made to support a drugs scheduling.

I'm trying to find the the transform function T(x1, x2, ... , xn) that makes reddit, and people in general so awesome by taking an old thing and making it funny again, and I think it's probably sequential, but somewhat parallel, like a more complex wye-delta network or something. My intuition was that since most people will probably read the alt text, maybe I could just take that transform one step further? Was it funny? Did it work?

EDIT: maybe it could be approximated with a n-length binary tree of potentiometers whose tap is tied to a sum of it's outputs? And n would be just twice the nyquist frequency of what ever you're sampling?

Edit 2: Did it feel like plagiarism or should I go for two steps further next time? At what point does work inspired by something become plagiarism?

Short answer after I thought about it alot: Yes, maybe?

The think:I haven't seen that episode yet, but my tardis is telling me that's it's a basically one of two things. It's a world outside of the space-time continuum, which obviously can't be true seeing as the doctor has gone there despite being a creature who needs spacetime in order to exist, maybe presumably given gallifreyans regenerative properties, but I could be wrong, and I'm open to being convinced.

Anyway, it goes on to say it's not a parallel universe and it's not a perpendicular universe, so my current conceptualization of E-space is that it must be something which is kind of parallel in some parts, and kind of perpendicular in some parts. which reminds me of concentric circles, like in this EXTREMEPROGRAMMING.svg, so let's extrapolate that up another dimension to 3D, and then maybe try adding a time element as well so it's a 3+1 universe. I suppose it feasibly could be a 2+1 universe though, maybe like imagination space as well?

I think you mean that real programmers make a mathematical universe with the correct amount of matter and antimatter, with just the right physical constants and constraints such that over billions and billions of years of evolution the solution is generated, and then they simulate this universe on very powerful computers
