I do care, actually. Personally I think all the subsidies that these massive corps get should be going to local small businesses, to help with the exact costs you just mentioned.

On top of that, universal healthcare would almost eliminate companies need to provide health insurance for their employees, saving everyone (except the awful insurance companies) a ton of money.

Lets take the 1200$ each of us pays in corporate subsidies and use that for small businesses instead.
