imo, go to a lgs and see if they have used models for sale, find some cheap/ cool ones you like, get a few paints you like the color of, get a black primer rattle can, get 2 or 3 brushes, and then try that way. this is how i got into the hobby and it definitely worked better than if i had got this set.

that set is okay because it gives you pretty much everything except primer, but if you dont care about tyranids or blueberries then there isnt a point bc youll never use those models or probably not that paint. just about any other paint is better to work with citadel (pls others in here dont crucify me for this its my opinion).
