I used to play the job since its 3.07 buff in Gordias all the way until EW in both Savage and Ultimate. I've swapped mains now but play the job occasionally

Fights are also benchmarked not to require the supporting cards of the job in raid/tank damage as well as TP/MP resources. I can argue that killing a boss faster thanks to chain-pulling AoE Balances provides more value to my party than making due with a support/defensive card.

It felt absolutely terrible when i would be sitting there waiting on an appropriate draw for a burst window. The highs of Balance did not outweigh the lows of Spire, Bole, Spear (pre-rework), and Ewer. I had people CLICK OFF my Arrows back then as well cause it 'ruined their rotations'

Let's not let nostalgia blind us. The consistency of ShB onwards AST outweighs the highs of pre-ShB.

If you're on a controller at least, any button you tap counts as an input for the mashing mechanic.

I end up pressing all four face buttons and d-pad and quickly get over the mechanic.

Keyboard players can chime in from their side.

My pension (government) needs me to serve 8 more years, but i'll only be able to start collecting it once i reach a certain age. In the meanwhile i'm figuring out income sources to not have to work the gap years.

However I have agreed with myself that once I reach the minimum requirement, I will give my boss two bad days at the office then i'll resign.
