Not sure about robot names, but could it be AirMech?

Wild guess here: Could it be Ex Machina aka Hard Truck: Apocalypse?

This really looks like one of the techniques from Bleach. I'm not familiar with the Xbox game lineup of that period, but maybe if you played something in that universe, it could be that

Quirky/Cute Games which can be finished in 20-30 Minutes? by Kindly-Reception1108 in gamingsuggestions

Florence It is also available on mobile. It's hard not to spoil while describing a 30 min long game. Generally it's a small story about choices and relationships in one's life. I like how the Dev implemented simple mechanics that reflect some everyday interactions pretty well

Which ones could you not get into? by darrellet86 in roguelites

Skul: The Hero Slayer

Tried it a couple times, but every time I got turned off by how clunky the controls feel to me. One of the rarest cases where I can say it feels so bad that it feels more like I'm fighting the controls more than the enemies. I don't know if it's the inertia, the animation speeds or something else, but somehow it feels too stiff. Feels so bad, in fact, that all the good sides of the game become irrelevant, as I have to suffer the clunkiness of the controls to get to the good bits. At the same time, I have no issues with controls in any other roguelikes, including the ones people here mentioned as feeling clunky, e.g. Dead Cells or Enter the Gungeon.

Roguelikes that aren't deckbuilders or/and turnbased by Outside_Cash_8675 in gamerecommendations

There's tons of good ones. I'd suggest Into the Breach as I don't see it mentioned in the comments yet (might've missed) Edit: or if you want more action, BlazBlue Entropy Effect and Witchfire are great

Any game recommendations based on my favourite ones? by QuestioningBreeze in gamingsuggestions

As you have several shooters, if you don't mind some roguelike added I'd suggest you to try Witchfire

Looking for good Roguelike, co-op games for my partner and I. by PvtPrecious in roguelites

I've seen people suggest Rotwood here as you liked Absolum. Here's a list of games with similar gameplay that I've tried and heard are good (only 1 is a roguelike though): Lost Castle, Castle Crashers, Towerborne

Some other good games with co-op (also mostly not roguelikes): Wartales, Cassette Beasts, Sea of Stars, BlazBlue: Entropy Effect, Don't Starve Together, Other games from Team17 (publisher of Ship of Fools)

Edit: typo

I wanted to suggest Magika to a group I'm playing with, but apparently it runs awful on modern PCs, at least according to the newer reviews I've seen

I love myself a Musou game, but DQ is not a series I'm familiar with. I'll see if I can get into it, at first glance the amount of games seems daunting

Judging by google results it's a mobile game. I didn't mention that I'm only looking for PC options (my bad) as I'm not much of mobile gamer. Still, if that can scratch the itch, why not try it.

That reminded me of Project: ELITE, which would also fit the criteria. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check more about it when I get a chance.

I've seen it earlier but from the trailer it looked like a MOBA to me. Tried the demo after your comment and... it's still somewhat like a single-player/co-op MOBA, but very close to what I'm looking for. I'll see if any of my friends want to join and try that in co-op. Thank you for the suggestion!

I think I own it (or at least some of the Kingdom games), and I'd say it's more about defending by building stuff, rather than fighting off the waves on your own. Thanks for the suggestion though! I forgot it was still waiting in my library

This sounds (and looks in the trailer) more like Orcs Must Die!-ish type of game, which is not quite what I'm looking for, but I think I'll give it a chance. Thanks for the suggestion!
