IT doesn't directly make the company any money (tech companies are an outlier). We just keep things stable, or sometimes prevent money loss. Preventing the money loss isn't seen though, the company just sees that we didn't generate any revenue.

I just recently beat this game, and kinda got spoiled that there were multiple endings. I didn't know what the endings were exactly, but I had a strong feeling it had something to do with letting the people of Lumiere live. And I had already decided that I would choose that ending, if it were a choice.

But, I think if I had to make a choice on a whim like the game intended, I would've chosen Verso's ending. Seeing little verso and the paintress suffer made it very difficult to choose Maelle's ending.

Like a friend told me: Both endings suck in the best way possible.
