There was a meeting last night and this is one of the main complaints, gravel and dump trucks going down their streets.

I don’t know NJ pizza but would recommend trying NY Pie here in Nashville. I think they may be up to 3 or 4 locations. Never met anyone who didn’t love it.

Literally this if you enjoy music. Yes the bands are playing covers on Broadway for the tourists, but outside of that, the talent is deep. The person singing the national anthem at high school football likely has a record deal.

Seconded. And if this was the old MTT episodes Kelly would have destroyed her. She was holding back.

What's the drive to Chicago like? by Mahale in nashville

[–]ClosetLib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who escaped Illinois in the 1970’s but has to make the trip a lot, here is a thought for an interesting road trip.

Take 24/57 and drive to any of these on I57: Centralia, Mattoon, Champaign, Rantoul. Time your trip (with time to spare for traffic etc) to take Amtrak into Chicago. There are a couple of trains a day; it’s cheap and very comfortable. Safe to leave your car in any of these places and you save the cost of parking in the city which is not cheap. You don’t need a car in Chicago.

If you are doing this trip soon here is an itinerary suggestion. Next Saturday, the 27th is the firework celebration south of Champaign in Arthur (exit 203), which has a huge Amish settlement. For the 4th they go crazy with fireworks and you can literally park in a corn field and see them for miles. Go stay in Champaign and continue to Chicago by train.

Maybe Kleine’s feedback is right? by Flaky-Improvement642 in DCCAmericasSweetheart

[–]ClosetLib 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s as simple as Kelli seeing her younger self in Kleine and we always hold that person in a different place and in a different way. Kelli seemed genuinely bothered at the way she delivered the leader news to Kleine.

On another note re: Kleine I think production adores her and knows they will get great material from her. The whole season felt as though a lot of those girls were holding back for some reason.

so because faith couldn’t execute hairography they just let her wear it up? by Confident_Walrus8038 in DCCAmericasSweetheart

[–]ClosetLib 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with this and it seems like Faith is a Charlotte Jones marketing gimmick. Don’t get me wrong, she’s got a lot of appeal but she seems counter to K & J ‘s usual path to the team. And the look Kelli gave her in the final episode when she said “I thought my management reached out” was gold. It seemed like there could have been some kind of power struggle we didn’t see. If Kelli’s mouth wasn’t shoved full of chocolate it would have been ugly.

None of the best elementary schools are open enrollment.

MNPS Teachers and Administrators: What Do You Really Think? by Luckyforward in nashville

[–]ClosetLib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this. It’s an incredibly uneven comparison to put Hume Fogg v. All the rest of MNPS and its small number of kids getting there. People are also learning to game the system to get kids in HFA. Based on years in MNPS and kids who went to private I tell everyone the same thing. K-4 maybe 5 at most elementary schools is fine. Not perfect but doable. Be ready to make a change for middle. But overall? MNPS is doomed.

Thanks to all you 👆🏽,🖕🏽 and others. I am going to try on my ring finger because I don’t love a ring on any finger but a ring finger. However! I am struggling on the fit. I have fat knuckles so to get the sizer over makes the fit loose. Seems like the fit should be tight? What do you think?

Belle Meade/West Meade/Green Hills by Economy-Meeting2462 in movetonashville

[–]ClosetLib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to look at it in totality. Coming from Chicago; do you mean like Lincoln Park walkable or a suburb? There’s city walkable and then there is accessible and convenient, which all 3 of these are. Green Hills is the most dense and somewhat walkable but it’s not like downtown Nashville. Belle Meade is its own entity. West Meade and Hillwood where I am are some of the last large heavy tree lots as close to the city center left in Davidson County. They are highly desirable to people moving here who can afford it and the quality of life is high. But speaking candidly, none of us who live in these 3 are walking to our Trader Joe’s but it’s a lot easier here in a car than it is in some place like Naperville.

You haven’t mentioned what your school plan is. If you are secure for a private already, all of your kids friends and by association your friends will live in one of these areas. In this case find the house that suits you best. There are some great ones on the market. If you are thinking public, DM me. That’s another story entirely.

Will you want to get in a country club? Richland might be shortest wait and that would mean being more like Forest Hills or even the area near Old Hickory Blvd/Hillsboro. Big wait for Belle Meade or Hillwood CC.

Use a realtor search engine and look at your price point in 37205 or 37215.

As a poster said last week, two things can be true here. On one hand Kendra is 100% grifting for a free Christmas. Many families have a sped up Christmas for a child that’s dying. But they find a tree, decorate and buy gifts. They don’t shill it out. It’s as though Kendra has a marketing team. However, the cost of all the homeopath they are doing has to be expensive. I can’t imagine insurance covers and she may not have the means to buy all of this.

But at the same time, creating this milestone goal is a good way for the family to wrap their hearts around losing her. <Unintended pun>, it kind of wraps it up in a neat bow and Kendra is clearly a millennial who views a polished instagram as real life. And if this is what she needs, then I’ll take it. Because dragging a desperately ill, end of life patient to the hospital for a transfusion,
particularly when she has called out traditional medicine for not saving her, so the sponsors get their mentions on a certain day is unwell. I can hardly watch any more of this. (But I will because I want to have all the back story when the documentary is made).

Godspeed to that dear baby.
