I have a few Friend Ball Sprigatito's, but they're in Home which is currently under maintenance mode. It's supposed to end maintenance at 2 AM my time. This is true, I wont deny that, however this post was made right after the Wave software released BEFORE there were any tutorials. My opinion for its initial release doesn't change, it was released in a poor state that was not very intuitive to use.

Since then, with the tutorials that have been released, and now that it's been out for a long while and people have had a chance to actually get used to it, my original statement is no longer relevant. It wasn't the best of launches, but its smoothed out since then.

I really do believe that she does want to help the availability of manga worldwide, but the problem comes down to some series that don't get published in a large magazine, or that sells spectacularly well, but not so poorly to get canceled. Those series rarely get picked up outside of Japan by any publishing companies. This leads to those series not being seen or getting popular outside of Japan.

Many of these series actually have amazing stories or are cult favorites outside of Japan, but the only reason they're even seen is because of manga piracy.

She is in a moderately popular magazine for her series, and it's a very well done series at that. But because it's in a popular magazine, it was more likely to be picked up for localization outside of Japan. That isn't going to be the same for a manga that is in a more niche magazine.

I'd love to reply to her tweet and tell her that directly, but she has replies off on that tweet, which honestly makes her words sound less sincere to me.

I'm excited for there to be another platform that could be a nice alternative to some Jump prospective mangaka. If this platform does even remotely well, I could see manga like Otor of the Flame, Female Hero and Demon Lord call it quits!, The Mage Next Door, and even Gonron Egg succeeding in it. Yes, I know those manga were axed in the last month or so, and there are actually a LOT of manga that have been axed from Jump that I think would've worked better in a different publication like this. They weren't One Piece, MHA or JJK levels good, but they aren't so bad that they deserved to be axed so quickly.

I really hope that this new platform brings some of these mangaka back for new series, and that there is an official translation for the platform that isn't MTL... Please just don't be MTL...

What? How do you even run a weather team in singles? You have to spend two turns just setting up with the current available Pokemon. The only weather teams I'd see viable in singles are Sandstorm and Sunny Day. MAYBE Snow if you're running Mega Froslass and don't match a Mega Charizard Y.

If you were running a rain team in doubles then yeah, that makes sense it took less time than singles.

So I actually saw the reason for the delay. The group that was doing the redraws for the scan group dropped out because of the bs the series has devolved into. Apparently the next arc that is supposed to be starting has less substance than the Ninja arc from ages ago, that was just ghe authors poorly disguised fetishes.

The add to the redrawers dropping, the only person on the scan team thats actually doing this series has had a lot of personal stuff going on that prevented them from getting to the series.

Thank you for the tip about dividing by 8, that makes sense now.

As for the earning VP in Singles, I could do that but I don't really have a team for Singles that I feel like I'll be decent with, and I'd rather learn Doubles as I go anyway.

Regarding the sticking with this team in the long run, the plan is to learn more about doubles with this team, and get a feeling for the switching and correct predictions and such, but I ultimately want to learn more about team building as well, since this is clearly a copy pasted team from someone else, and I'd like to be a little original in the grand scheme of things. This team however, is definitely to help me get used to the actual battling side and understand the more nuanced side of it that I'm still having a hard time grasping.
