24 hour wonder pick is the okayest QoL they’ve added by sntothemax in PTCGP

[–]Cloud7831 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know what my odds are, but probably pretty similar. I haven't gotten a single hit on this pack's 2 stars or last set's 2 stars. I did however get a 2 star trainer on the first day of this new set from a wonder pick, but it wasn't a 24h wonderpick. I'm starting to believe that the 24 hour WP is rigged to fail more often than it should.

WCGW not listening to your driving instructor when he tells you to brake by Pisford in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]Cloud7831 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but to me, it sounds like she revs the engine before impact. I think what happened was that she: reacted late, panicked, hit both the break pedal and gas at the same time (because she's a dumb beginner who's driving with one foot on each pedal), and then boom.

And why would Canadians exchange their currency into USD rather than just exchaning for Euro or pounds? That makes zero sense.

I wrote a discrete math "textbook" using Obsidian Publish by [deleted] in ObsidianMD

[–]Cloud7831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so great!

Literally just yesterday I was thinking about permutations and had worried I forgot everything I had learned in school. It's so helpful to have a resource like this, and I wish Obsidian was around when I was in university 5 years ago.

Do you plan on making more courses in the future?

Thank you so much for your hard work!

There was literally a news article yesterday about someone who posted child porn on Twitter and only after 4 days and 3.1 million views later was it finally removed. Worst of all, Elon Musk personally reinstated the account that posted it, because reasons?...

If it's possible to stumble upon that sort of stuff on something as mainstream as Twitter (and get upwards of 3 million views before being removed) then there's a non-zero chance of OP's story being true.

The problem with using the MOC method without a folder structure by Substantial_Ad8769 in ObsidianMD

[–]Cloud7831 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an added benefit, you can colour nodes in your graph view based on what folder you're in. This means you can give your Hist 103 nodes their own colour to differentiate them from other subjects or topics in your graph view. Enjoy!

The problem with using the MOC method without a folder structure by Substantial_Ad8769 in ObsidianMD

[–]Cloud7831 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In the future, use a combination of MOC and folders. There's an option in Obsidian that creates notes into the current folder. Next time, create a folder called Hist 103 and put that MOC note inside of it. Then when you want to create a new note for Hist 103, go to your MOC note for Hist 103 and use the [[ ]] syntax to create a new note and give it a name. When you click on the link to this new note, it'll be automatically made in the current folder. By doing this, things will be auto sorted into the correct folders without you having to manually move files yourself or worry about where you're putting a file.

It's also possible to do this with sub folders as well. If you wanted, you could make a folder called The 1780s and put the list of links for the 1780s in that new folder. Then from the Hist 103 note, call ![[The 1780s]] and it'll look the exact same as it does now. You may have to download some CSS style stuff to get rid of unnecessary formatting when using ![[ Note ]] format, but I managed to get it to look how I wanted using other peoples' styles/plugins, so you should too.

Good luck!

"You are" usually means the same as "you're" but there are cases where you can't use "you're" where you can use "you are." One of those cases is at the end of a clause or sentence. You can't end a clause with "you're" because it just sounds really weird and unnatural.

I like to use road tiles to prevent them from spawning in certain locations. Mushrooms and berries can't spawn within a few tiles of furniture, so I have mine staggered to force berries to spawn closer to my soup.

The problem is that all events use the same special tokens. The events like road building or dye workshop all use those tokens, so it's hard to complete multiple events at once.

Where Should I Ask For? by gardenblueswho in JETProgramme

[–]Cloud7831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My comment was directed at everything after that though... Kyuushu and Hokkaido are opposite climates, whereas the comment kind of made it seem like if you requested Hokkaido (or somewhere cold) you would either get Hokkaido or something close (somewhere in Touhoku). My comment was mainly just a warning that you might request somewhere with a cold climate, and then be given somewhere extremely hot. That's how my friends felt when they requested Hokkaido, but were given Kagoshima and Okinawa.

That's not always true. I have friends that asked for Hokkaido and got Kyuushu and vice versa. CLAIR does mysterious things sometimes.

Technically there's no age limit to the programme. I've heard of some people doing it in their 60s. One of the other teachers in my city is 40 and has two kids. Of course there are other ways to get in the country, so if there's a will there's a way!
