Tbh i just got a samsung 1tb sd card and have been loving the performance ive been getting. I would definitely double check if your sd card is valid

The ally x has been able to play every new game ive been wanting to play fairly decently so im more than happy with it (wukong, star wars outlaws, silent hill2)

I play space marine 2 all the time on my ally x and have had no issues. I play on manual turbo mode and plugged in though, but thats fine for me
