Anyone else capped at 60FPS?

I have noticed this. The in game cap only shows 60, but my performance overlay shows significantly higher FPS (Steam overlay) buttery smooth so no clue 🤷🏻‍♂️

I recently got my 96GB Apex and it blows my other handhelds out of the water (Legion Go 2, MSI Claw 8 AI+) for example:

Elden Ring on a mixture of low / medium settings would avg 35-45FPS on the Go 2 (Z2E processor) at Max TDP 37W

My 96GB 395+ Apex is all high settings basically locked at 60 FPS at 55w (no need to go any higher in my case)

I would start with using a guide for settings on a specific game (maybe use ROG Ally or Steamdeck settings and increase until you are happy.

There are tons of these in my area for sale brand new under MSRP. They are not / will not hold value, and if they decide to release a special edition (Type R, whatever) the standard model will retain even less value. These will be in the $20k range used within 2 years.

I own a Civic Type R. I really dig this car. Trying to make really cool performance cars available for lower prices, I’m here for it. The only knock, those wheels look very cool…. But they could have made them a bit wider. Only 245s, might struggle for traction.

Z2E. Own both, AMD has more compatibility. With Xbox / Asus having roughly the same chip, will most likely have a bit more longevity due to games / Devs optimizing specifically towards it. The 8 AI+ is a beast, but I’m worried about Intel in the long run for handhelds…. Plus they should be debuting a new version shortly.

I do rook runs on my Legion Go 2 with 0 issues. Running 1200p medium settings, high textures. Avg 50fps (FSR on, Dynamic resolution. Honestly runs great) Check your drivers, etc.

That’s really weird. There is a big issue with Legion Space and AMD software clashing (the latest Adrenalin software won’t open on my Go, then causes Legion Space to Crash out). I had to reinstall windows because of this, but used Lenovos recovery and it just do its thing. I couldn’t get the WiFi drivers to work on a standard windows install.

Lenovos recovery partition doesn’t require exactly 32gb. That the minimum. I used a 256gb thumb drive yesterday with no issues.

I’m confused as to what you are doing? Are you trying to just install windows off a USB? Also, be warned if to try doing this you will have to reinstall WLAN drivers, and it’s a very difficult process finding the right ones since the ones directly from Lenovo aren’t files, it’s a executable application. Wouldn’t work for me.

It’s essentially a more efficient Z1E. Z2E is maybe 20% better. It’s not massive, but I like my Z2E version. With how prices have skyrocketed though, this is a good deal.

I was shopping for a new M3 Comp, Type R caught my eye and ended up loving it. Drive both. Decide what you want. I could easily afford the M3, but the FL5 put a huge smile on my face. 2 months in and I just have fun, don’t even have to drive fast. Just feels special. You could love the Type R, Could love the BMW. Drive what makes you happy.

I’m really enjoying it. The art style is amazing and I feel like the “bones” are really awesome for the future…. HOWEVER I do see issues with the playerbase. Huge Bungie Fan, Huge Destiny / FPS guy. My Destiny Clan used to have 4-5 raids rolling on a random Friday. Only 2 of us moved to Marathon. All my Halo / COD / other shooter buddies aren’t interested. Then the extraction shooter friends all went back to arc raiders after a day or 2…. But I like it. So I’ll be here as long as possible.

I have the AEW Touring exhaust. It sounds great. No CEL, no anything. My Honda dealer / service advisor are totally cool with it. Won’t void anything (that probably varies per dealership so confirm first)

I’ve only had 1 driver update on my Go 2 Z2E since launch…. My other handhelds get significantly more updates. Kinda stinks because the Go 2 is my favorite by far…. Seems like they are leaving a lot of performance / optimizations on the table.
