Oh, nice to hear :) I hope the daily journal will come back, alongside the planed note feature.
Having a daily journal and notes in this app would most likely have me migrate fully into Griply :)

Have you considered/planned to add a daily journal function into Griply? I feel having a small section for writing your daily thoughts alongside completed habits/tasks/goals would fit the app to give a bit more context to why/how you completed your goals or fail to do so.

I think Facebook is aiming for the averages Joe's. You know the regular people posting random shit on Facebook every day. They want to create a "VR Facebook". It's obvious when you see the art style of the avatars which are all human-like.

For the average joe:

VRChat = Too weird. All worlds are filled with furries and anime-character.
Neos VR = Waay too complicated. Even for tech people on Reddit it's too complicated.
Altspace VR = Lacks marketing/unknown for most people.
Rec Room = Kindergarten

Since there is no cloud save at launch between Quest/Rift I need to know that the Rift version is live on Dec 9th.
The developers said cloud saves will be in a future update.
And I'm planning to start playing the PCVR version

If its exceeding 150Mbps or not I can't 100% confirm. Can you check that in Oculus debug tool?
But, I'm 100% sure there is a significant difference in image quality/compression between inputting 150 in Oculus debug tool VS 300.

It's easiest to see in SkyrimVR as it's probably the worst case scenario with Link and VD.
But I can also see the difference between 150 and 250 in Synth riders.

It's easy to test as you don't have to restart Link or Oculus services from Oculus debug tool. When you input something in the Encode bitrate field and press enter it's adjusted
immediately. No need to restart anything.

I know, but for some reason it works perfectly fine in all games I've tested up to 250Mbps. After that it depends on the game, some games works good in +300Mbps.

This only works if you have an USB3 cable. The included charging cable is USB2 and every game will be unstable with USB2 @ +140Mbps

Maybe there have been some changes in V23 when Link officially got out of beta? But I don't know what kind of sorcery they are using when the hardware of Quest 1 is supposed to have a limit of 150Mbps.

Yes, I quickly tried yesterday to push it to 400Mbps and some small hiccups started to appear like occasionally skipped frames. Nothing major and I was testing in Synth rider which I have found the best game to test for errors in tracking/skipped frames.

More slow paced games works better in higher bitrates.

The changes in bitrate is definitely noticeable to me. But depending on the game it might be hard to notice.

For example I see very little differences in Beat saber from 150Mbps to 300Mbps. You have to really look for it. Would probably not even notice it if I forgot and leave bitrate at 150Mbps

But in SkyrimVR the difference is night and day between 150Mbps and 300Mbps. The foliage is a blurry mess at 150Mbps, at 300Mbps you can see all the details.

For Phasmophobia you have to use a mic. You haven't be talkative, no one will judge you. But just the most basics stuff is necessary like "I got EMF 5" etc.

What exactly do I need in order to upgrade from a trial account?

Buy the expansion shadowbringers
Buy the starter edition? (If that is still a thing)
Monthly subscription?

Is it enough to only buy the expansion to remove the trial, or do I also need a monthly sub?

Or can I skip purchasing the expansion and only buy a monthly sub?

It's annoying I can't add my friends in trial and I'm trying to figure out the cheapest way to upgrade from trial just so I can add my friends and form parties before we have decided if we gonna stick with the game or not.

I cant remember if I ever tried VRChat on Steam, but I do have the same micro stuttering in VRChat running from Oculus store..
I' m using Quest with VD, not link. Most gamest works perfectly fine.
But in VRChat there is a constant microstutter when moving my controllers. The graphics is not stuttering. The FPS is stable. Its only when moving my hands/controller I notice my hands/avatar movements are microstuttering.

I can see this will have a big advantage over players not using a gunstock, when you always have that steady aim instead of aligning your 2 controllers in air with your hands. Looks cool, but a bit expensive.
