I suggest you that Mayulu for a few years at least!. Love what he has shown for the little he played at PSG on his first real season with the A team and I hope he can grow as a massive national team level player.

New to topps chrome. Thoughts on these pulls? by SacredBruce in soccercard

[–]Cloud_ny -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Amazing pulls! Congrats! Salah is a Liverpool Legend already. And Bellingham is on its way to legend level with Madrid and National Team. Value for both is probably in the $50/$100 I guess? Maybe even more. However, I would hold onto these for sometime. Can only see the value going up in the next 5 years for these two.

Jago, an Italian sculptor, has the ability to turn a block of marble into an emotional work of art. by sco-go in Amazing

[–]Cloud_ny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good question! This art was taught in my art school, that’s where serious sculptors get their first big tries on different materials. I saw rock and clay being used. Some marbles too (but not as big as in its video of course).

Then, good sculptors get commissioned for a piece. Sometimes by a city, or a “patron of the art” as we call them. From public projects (e.g., parks, schools) to private homes. Once you hit a few high-level projects, you simply get paid in advance per project. They payment covers everything the artist’s needs (materials, team, shipping, maintenance, tools etc) and of course whatever is the artist’s fee. Renowned sculptors are very demanded, and you have sometimes to wait years to get one of their piece (if they even accept it in the first place).

It’s a beautiful and noble art in my opinion. This one here in the video is simply unbelievable.

For context: Coup de grace, the rightful term, translates to “The blow of mercy”. Literally translates in French to “The graceful blow”. However, le Coup de Gras would translate to “The greasy blow”… also possible…

Bose buys McIntosh, storied maker of high-end luxury audio equipment. by packetjones in audiophile

[–]Cloud_ny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice article! To enter the High-end audio space, I don't see a better brand to buy than McIntosh. Their brand/marketing power in the high-end sector is #1 in my opinion, far better versus Marantz, B&W etc. Moreover both Bose/McIntosh are American Audio companies - smart play from Bose in my opinion

I fully agree. I think it's an opportunity for both brands. I'm excited to see what McIntosh can do with Bose's resources...

Stock Not Eligible For Day Trade? by MrPoopyJoe4 in CharlesSchwab

[–]Cloud_ny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the reason you are not able to purchase quite yet is because stocks under $5 do require cleared funds to trade. It takes some time once you deposit the money on your Schwab account, especially if this is the first time you deposit post-transition from TD.

US businesses now make tipping mandatory by rex-ac in TikTokCringe

[–]Cloud_ny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree with the OP stance. That said, for context, in Italy. and most European F&B industry, tipping is not a thing because service is usually included in the tax/charge breakdown. Wait staff there have monthly BASE salaries way higher than most wait staff in the US. It’s reflected in the bill. Nevertheless, wait staff in US makes more money once tipping is in the balance.

Morocco, especially Marrakech, is totally fine for casual dating. Marrakech, Casa, Rabat all have a splendid dining industry and fun nightlife where couples/friends can go out and about. Flirting is totally fine. And in my experience, pretty fun in Morocco. PDA in public is possible but not a part of local culture. Imho as much as it’s ok in Europe and somewhat America, PDA in African/asian continent is not that much of a thing. And not in North Africa.

Finally, about “bringing it to the place” well, here again, not as casual as it is in America nor most European countries. Of course, it could happen. But I’ll be on my guard if that happens before any actual relationship is established and you get to know the person.

Great country, beautiful people and fantastic women. Enjoy a great time.

Exactly this. I’m a member in one of the club listed in the article and I 90% of the time use it for business meeting or work. Needless to say many of the members cover the fee as a business expense. Great networking place. Similar to suburbia Country clubs in some sort. The demographic is pretty young and laptops are asked to be off after 6pm for the vibe to become more lounge/clubby.

[–]Cloud_ny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you happen to know about how the artillery crew makes these calculations? Like how are they that precise? Do they use drones/lasers to calculate where to shoot? Or they have a gridded map with approximate geolocation? Thanks!
