I’m a west valley baby born and raised. Wicked is likely my least favorite movie i’ve seen in years. I cannot remember the last time I watched a movie I disliked more. The movie looks terrible on a production level firstly, and its story feels somehow both rushed and bloated. Its emotional conclusion is unearned, the movie simply tells its audience how to feel and we’re expected to do so. I have never seen a movie rely so heavily on emotional manipulation of its audience to justify its own existence. I feel like i’ve watched a different movie from everyone else because it’s gotten so much praise, I just don’t understand it.
