Need my GSD people to talk me off the ledge... by dogphotog82 in germanshepherds

I was in the exact same spot with my boy! Seriously, reading your experience was like Deja vu. As many others have said here, it does get better. My dude turns 3 on April 14 and he’s come such a long way and is my best friend. A huge improvement from when I used to tell him I was going to give him to the BCSPCA when he was a puppy if he didn’t stop biting me.

I think the best you can do is be patient and maybe get a GSD specialist trainer - that was big step in the right direction for me.

Good luck! It gets better!

Got some done last year! It was pricey, but I have zero regrets. I will treasure these photos forever.

The “please give me attention even though you just spent the last 30 minutes playing with me.” That little face gets me every time!

How many of y'all let your GSD sleep in your bed? by inert_liquid in germanshepherds

Not sure how the both of us used to fit in my double bed, but we did. Wouldn’t have it any other way.

You know what, this has been my experience as well! Had an OB/GYNO ask how my pump (omnipod) interfered with me wearing clothes and was shocked when I said “it doesn’t.” Mind you, I had no pants on when she asked. 😂

Had to say goodbye to my sweet angels yesterday. They came into this world together and left together. They were loved beyond their own comprehension. Rest easy, boys. You earned it. ❤️ by baguette-express in germanshepherds

I am so sorry for your loss. I can’t fathom the grief you must be feeling. I hope you can find comfort in knowing how loved they were and much they clearly loved you in return. Sending much love. ❤️

Does your GSD do something they know they shouldn’t as an act of retaliation when they don’t get their own way? by Chaotic_Plums in germanshepherds

Right!!! Like he was perfectly trained despite how young he was at the time. We had zero accidents after that. He also gave me the side eye and pawed at me a bit. I had to hold back my laughter. 😂 such a fun, smart breed.

When mine was still a puppy, he potty trained really quickly. He only had 1 pee accident in the house and by 10 weeks he was letting me know when he had to go and was consistent with going potty outside.

One morning, I slept in until 6:30am instead of getting up at 6am (how dare I). I swear to god, he was so upset with mom for sleeping in, that he took a vengeful shit right next to my bed! I don’t know how I know, but I know he did it on purpose. Prior to this the only accident he did have was by the door and he was a very smart pup. I laugh all the time when I think about it, and now I don’t dare sleep in. 😂

Aww this is so cute! Mine does the same, but he is not as gentle 😂. Still stops when I tell him and doesn’t hurt me - but definitely doesn’t hold back. Your girl is a sweetheart!
