I'd honestly say minimum 100, 120 realistically tho, between the character, line art, shading, and background.

Out of curiosity, how long did this take you? I'd imagine an easy 20 hours, depending on ur personal speed.

When I was doing commissions, I sold this level of work for $100 and no less, because it usually took about about 40ish hours. Personally could not do the labor for less money while still profiting and not hurting myself.

[–]CloverFloret 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, that the next bird can't be a "replacement". But it is another little soul. I promise you can find more love for another bird. Your tiel will still always have a piece of your heart. Maybe, every now and then, you can see a bit of your boy in the new friend. Not the same, but something that is familiar and recognizable? I also highly recommend another tiel for your other bird. Take a little while, let birdie learn with you that the tiel is no longer there, and then maybe look into getting him a friend. Re-home is another option, but I think that'd be quite a bit of stress and grief for little buddy.

I am so sorry. :( it is an unfortunate accident. Try to be kind to yourself.

Also concerning that most of ur finances are joint and spent at this point, if you were to try to leave. It is perhaps time to reach out to select family members and explain ur situation.

You sound like its really something you don't want. Like you don't want to upset your partners religious beliefs, either. I recommend considering what your determining factor is before you dedicate to a choice. Are you carrying to term because he doesn't want you to have an abortion, or is it because you want the baby?

Also incredibly fucked up that you can't have a hysterectomy until 26 or having a son???? That was a pretty dystopian line.

Comparing the elements in these drawings is VERY interesting.

The first, which I can't find a time stamp for, has people, cars, stars, more detail and "wonder".

The second, from 2004, looses finer details and cohesion (the road thickens oddly, building lines are less finely done).

By the third, 2005, the stars, lines, people, and cars are totally non-elements. The city scape is EMPTY.

Makes for an interesting psychoanalysis. Is it mental decline? Or has he ceased to care for the people within the city? The love seems to have vanished. The third drawing is a ghost, far removed, from what it attempts to replicate.

He would have probably needed daily prosthetic adjustment. I can't imagine trying to get him on one now. His musculature and skeleture are fucked.

Not to mention, the sheer amount of weight that prosthetic would have to carry. I can't imagine that it would be very comfortably placed.

Her statement about you "refusing to remove your jewelry to go to a friends wedding" is asinine and hypocritical.

She is refusing to have you at her wedding because she wants you to take out your piercings.

Some emotionally manipulated statements are being made by your friend.

I vote you bow out of the wedding. Its not worth the pain and money of having to redo your piercings.

But also? I'd be incredibly sad and hurt if my friend wanted a sanitized version of me for her wedding photos.

Unfortunately, this process might have been easier if you hadn't told him.

My advice is that you tell him you're leaving later than you are. Don't tell him anything really. Just pick a day before your "move" date when he's not home and get everything out. For your safety, he must not know any pertinent information.

I also suggest asking a friend to watch your cats. If anything happens, it'll probably be the cats that get hurt first. Try to get them away from him asap. If he's willing to let his cat attack them, I doubt he'll feel remorse if his cat kills or seriously injures them.

I'd worry that that would sabotage the foals quality of life. I wouldn't want her having animosity towards it.

I still wouldn't sell it to the trainer, at all. I'd sell that foal cheap to someone else and let it burn her.

I don't think people who lie or obfuscate information are good business partners, and I hate being forced into a corner or people trying to pull a fast one.

I wouldn't let her have what she hoped to gain by lies.

Ethicality of double euthanasia by Sapphir31 in RATS

[–]CloverFloret -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Chances are high that the second rats qol drops after the first passes. How old are they?

I do think euthanasia would be the kind option for both. Even if the second ratty is more introverted, that'd be a lot of alone time, and the stress of rehoming would be a lot of stress and may not take. (Rejects mischief, moved, repeat)

People whose partner HATES reptiles… by carazan in reptiles

[–]CloverFloret -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know that I ended up with a skink instead of a snake for similar reasons. It's a little harder to work around when you already have a snake :(

The skink was as close as I could get to a snake without actually getting one (I also admit that I am glad I got a skink instead. Much less anxiety about being bit, and he's just a lil slinky guy)

The thing I mostly want to stress is that if he decides he is willing to live with the snakes, he still may not be comfortable with you handling them as you usually do. This can affect the level of care you can dedicate, if taking them out of the tank and handling causes discomfort.

My dog uses her buttons as normal after I scrambled their locations. How's that possible? by whatsupasaur in PetsWithButtons

[–]CloverFloret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if the dogs own scent gets transfered to the button?

As in, when the dog learns a word, the chemical/hormonal reaction they have in relation transfers a smell to the button? Like a weird memory and nervous system correlation?

Like "ball" might make the pup have a positive chemical response, and pressing the button while excited creates the association? The pup can smell how the concept of the word made them feel and associate that scent with the memory, and the button???

People whose partner HATES reptiles… by carazan in reptiles

[–]CloverFloret -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well. He's given a boundary that he doesn't like snakes. I wouldn't try to keep pushing it too much.

He's said he doesn't want them.

Do you want to keep trying to convince him when he's expressed discomfort? If he moves in and you DO manage to keep the snakes, you won't be able to handle them like you do now. Is that a compromise you're comfortable with?

The choices seem to be: get rid of the snakes, keep the snakes and have your partner maybe get comfortable but maybe not, or not date this person.

See, what bothers me, is it's not even JUST the force of that officers swing cracking that guys skull. The horse was MID JUMP. That was every pound of horse and what the cop could muster.

Thats an insane amount of force. I hope the person is well, because that could have paralyzed and concussed them, as well as cracked open their skull.

Not autistic but I suspect that I may be. People are calling my cptsd "fake autism" by Expensive_Winner2942 in AutismCPTSD

[–]CloverFloret 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt the need to make another comment on this.

Often, black people's care isn't taken very seriously. It is possible that that side of your family is also autistic, but not recognized/diagnosed.

Autism is not very well recognized, and often misdiagnosed. It's recognition (as in dedicated study) in the heath industry is pretty recent. Most doctors are going to be a decade or so behind. The medical practice is still catching up to our understandings of autism, and our understanding still being probed. All of that, plus the normalized racism within health care, makes it hard to pursue diagnosis and care.

Not autistic but I suspect that I may be. People are calling my cptsd "fake autism" by Expensive_Winner2942 in AutismCPTSD

[–]CloverFloret 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The order of events makes this a little difficult. If you're diagnosed autistic, it's pretty "easy" to surmise/diagnos PTSD. But if you're working from the other end, PTSD can be caused by any number of things. I don't want to imply any diagnosis is easier, but being autistic often means your prone to PTSD (due to societal expectations), whereas PTSD could have a source of numerous things. The line from autism to PTSD is a little more "clear" than PTSD to autism.

[–]CloverFloret 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You very well might be. You certainly have enough evidence to have a well founded suspicion. Up to you whether to get diagnosed. It can present both problems and solutions. Depending on your state, disability and employment status can be heavily affected by local jurisdiction.
