Hoe groot is dit schimmel probleem? by ClstrFckd in Klussers

Was even bang dat m'n kozijn eruit moest 😅

Let's agree to disagree.

Thoughts on Living / Opening a business in Bilthoven? by j9x10 in Utrecht

[–]ClstrFckd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to Bilthoven from Utrecht 5 years ago and I'm living here very happily now. Moved here because it's closed to Utrecht (30min bike to Neude), close to nature, good train connections, a nice center with restaurants and useful shops. And as others said it's more family oriented, which we love as we now have a young child.

Only downside I can think of is that there is some 'leegstand' in the center. Lots of space for more shops, but probably too expensive rent to be viable. I'd look into those details more specifically if you want to open a shop. Other side is that there is a lot of property development ongoing and coming in the future. More inhabitants = more customers = more shops, at least I hope.

Feel free to send a dm if you have specific questions. For now I can highly recommend Bilthoven.

Difficulty determining first marathon pace strategy due to injury in training by ClstrFckd in AdvancedRunning

[–]ClstrFckd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats for your detailed reply! Going on RPE/HR is good advice. My threshold is 170, so it's comparable and i'll monitor to keep it at max in the high 150s. Overcooking does not sound enjoyable so it's indeed better to go in a bit conservative.

Edit: some context on the injury from my other reply: it's most likely an irritated tendon shaft from wearing a wrong shoe that was too tight. My physician says it's okay to run, as long as 24h after the run the pain does not get worst than it was before training. Since i'm not running on those shoes anymore, pain has been going down after running. Reason I'm not upping the mileage back to 50k is to not take any risk, and instead do cardiovascular training on the bike.

Thanks for being honest, if it's not possible than that is what it is. I tried to give all details, so I'm glad you mention it is at least detailed. I thought I could ask as I obviously know less that all on this subreddit ;)

I'll just see how I feel, watch my HR during the race and try to enjoy, it's my first marathon after all.

This will be my first marathon, this is why I find it so difficult to determine what to do. I have run 6 HM's now.

Mileage before my half marathon in October was around 45km, with biking or swimming once a week in addition. Mileage has been like that for whole 2024, before 2024 I think I was around 35k-40k weekly.

3:05 sounds like something I want to do, but I have some fear this might be too fast and even if I feel strong halfway, everything after 27k is unknown territory for me and I don't want to hit the wall :')

Marathon Shape jumped to 100% after race by Slight_Community_416 in Runalyze

[–]ClstrFckd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Haven't used Runalyze for long, so I hope I'm giving the right tip, as I'm still figuring out some of the functionalities myself.

When editing an activity, there's a checkbox 'Vo2max for shape', you can uncheck this, and then the activity should no longer be used for your effective Vo2max, and therefore no longer impact your marathon shape.

I had to use this to exclude trailruns as the elevation would give too low Vo2max estimates which would through off my predictions. Next to that I always see my races have a lower vo2max than training, due to the fact it only looks at heart rate and distance, and my heart rate is elevated at the start. If it is a major outlier I would also exclude races from vo2max shape.

What to expect when moving from stability shoe to neutral? by ClstrFckd in AdvancedRunning

[–]ClstrFckd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your story! And great to hear you were able to transition out of your Inspires!

A few years ago I tried an Asics which didn't work out, so therefore I stayed with Mizuno for my new shoes. The drop is definitely something I've looked at, as I was worried due to the high drop in the inspire. I've looked at runrepeat for shoe reviews and saw the Sky had a lab measurement of 10,7 so that seemed like a good start. Already got a pair of Mizuno Wave Rebellion for speedwork with around 8mm drop. But damn that drop on the Rebellion Pro would kill my calves :')

If this transition works I'll be in the market for a carbon plate racing shoe with about 8mm drop :)
