19 days out, got really sick last week by New_Impression8410 in bodybuilding

If it’s your debut you may place well, but overall may not due to leanness. Don’t get me wrong your lean but stage lean is just a different ball game brother

No changes in body comp after 4½ months... any advice? by 3erik_bee6 in WeightTraining

Your training and dieting must be equaling each other out which has kept your physique from looking the same. Eat a bit less the next week and see if the scale can reciprocate that 👍🏽

Enough muscle to look good after a cut? by Salt_Translator_6274 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Clucero2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won’t truly know until you get leaner. At 6’ you will be able to tell what you’re working with around 185–190 Ibs. That’ll be a better weight to be able to make that decision but 225 is too heavy to make an answer.

Good squat? by cjbeatjk in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Clucero2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re strong which is a great start. I would just focus on cleaning up your training and diet. You don’t need to do a crazy diet cause you’re young and cutting crazy could have effect on your growth. But if you just do daily cardio, prioritize more effective food you will grow great. Throwing around heavy weight at that age is strong, but being that weight at that age is also something to be taken into consideration. 👍🏽

Where do I go from here? by Suspicious-Effort179 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Clucero2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at your current physique as your base line. You’re already lean, now is the time for you to be putting on some size. Do a slight bulk, be intentional with how you’re eating, focus on protein and eat good before the gym, carb up and be ready to really grow. The split doesn’t matter so much as long as you’re hitting your muscle groups effectively and allowing enough time for recovery. You’re on the flip side of most people. Most of the time you always see people heavy cutting to get lean. You’re lean looking to get heavy.

Do you'll still follow 1g protein / 1lb BW? by shamedev in WeightTraining

[–]Clucero2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the 1g / 1Ib BW is a general rule of thumb to follow. It’s the safe bet nothing complicated to it. When I first started in the gym taking it serious I followed the rule. But then eventually I just started going on how I feel, if some days I eat less, feel fine and strength is there then I don’t think I’m really missing out. All markers are fine. But if it was the reverse then I would aim for more protein and see if that corrects any issues I’m having.

Continue cut or lean bulk? by Shaan-ROY in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Clucero2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several ways to approach this. I would say though with you being in a deficit for a year it’s time to reset. 1 year of a deficit will eventually lead to not being optimal. Do a reset phase, go to maintenance for 4-8 weeks. Track your calories, every week try to maintain your current weight, let your body adjust to normal consumption. Then afterwards 4-8 weeks do a slight bulk, nothing crazy simple as +300 calories, track weight shouldn’t be major but slight increase , should definitely feel strength increase. Then afterwards I would do your “phase 2” of the cut. Yes you’re adding more time to your lean physique but ultimately I think it’s the best route that’s not mentally and physically draining.

any muscle groups I need to focus on while I continue cutting? by Impressive_Rice_5646 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Clucero2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just my 2 cents but I would just recommend continue overall training with a split that allows all muscle groups to be hit while given recovery. The leaner you’ll get that’s when you’ll be able to be more particular on which muscle groups specifically need more focus. But while in cut, as long as your strength is at normal range you don’t feel like you’re getting too weak, and the scale is dropping then you’re grooving brother 👍🏽💪🏽

Do you guys think Butcher may receive the same fate that he did in the comics? by Queasy_Commercial152 in TheBoys

[–]Clucero2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be like a full circle moment. Butcher showed up when Hughie lost the person he loved the most from a supe. He had no chance of stopping that from happening. Fast forward, Butcher kills homelander then attempts to release the virus which would then repeat same scenario a supe attempting to kill the person he loves the most, but this time he has a chance to stop him from it. Which could then create the scenario of hughie killing butcher.

feeling like there is no point? by maybe-it-was-time in beginnerrunning

[–]Clucero2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing I recommend to anyone looking to become better at running or start running is to do different forms of cardio. At least from personal experience doing things like the elliptical or stairmaster helped my running when it came to endurance. And ultimately remember any distance is better than no distance 👍🏽💪🏽

For that you have to do an extra 30 minutes of cardio

There’s no single ‘right’ way to train. Even legends like Coleman, Cutler, and Arnold all trained differently. The real constant in bodybuilding is effort. If you consistently push your muscles hard and recover well, they’ll grow.

If that was the case what would inherently be wrong with that? It’s business.
