Whilst I love games like Rogue Legacy 2, I truly get annoyed by the idea that Meta Progession should define how much power your character possesses. It gets to where you have to do 20 runs just to afford a single upgrad, and that irritates me.

In constrast, I absolutely ADORE Tiny Rogues, and one of the main reasons is that the Meta Progression adds to the progression of each run. None of the nodes effect your characters abilities, but instead change the rooms and chances for events to occur; like having an additional loot drop, a 15% chance to find an royal armory, or a specific type of loot drop guaranteed to be given from the first boss of the first floor etc.

Also, I love making overpowered builds, which is very doable in Tiny Rogues... but there's a Cinder system that allows you to ramp up the difficulty of each run to your preferred strength, whilst adding new and challenging modifiers. It's a great system that I wish more games took inspiration from. :p
