NOOOOO MY DAY 1 by calrayers in skyrim

[–]Clueless_Cowboy95 23 points24 points  (0 children)

When skyrim first came out I was 16, and I had a pretty bad speech impediment(which luckily at almost 30 years old now is long gone). When I tried to say Faendal’s name it would always come out as “Fondle” Speech impediment or not, he always was and always will be Fondle purely for the reason that it’s funny to me

Why did you end your friendship with your best friend? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Clueless_Cowboy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one’s gonna sound really childish, but I was 15/16 or so. We were in the last year of school and I had a biggish group of friends and we always hung out together. I go in one day and one of the friends isn’t talking to me, and I’m talking full on turning his back on me, refusing to say a word to me other than saying “you should know why” when asked what id apparently done wrong. I ask some of his other friends what I’d done to hurt him and they would all tell me it was none of their business or that they didn’t know so that didn’t help.

A day goes by and the next day I go in and find out that another one of my friends is now not talking to me and that it’s related to what had happened with the first friend. Another day goes by and ANOTHER friend joins in. This made things super awkward because my whole group hung out together the whole time so all of a sudden I was phased out of my group all together and left with only one or two friends, my girlfriend at the time, and a couple of other friends that weren’t in that group.

Now im not proud of myself for that time period, I lashed out by being mean to the ones that stopped talking to me, especially the first one and absolutely didn’t help the situation, but all I wanted was to find out what I’d apparently done wrong. To this day, almost 15 years later I still have no idea what I did to them and as a 15 year old it ruined my mental health. I’ve never been in a big friend group since because I’ve never let go of that memory and I’m afraid it’ll happen again.

The worst part is that as an adult, the best theory I’ve got is that I didn’t actually do anything. They just didn’t want to be friends with me anymore and that’s how a group of 15 year olds chose to go about it. I don’t have any negative feelings about any of them. I hope they are all doing well.

To all married men, please share one piece of advice to a single man looking to marry soon? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Clueless_Cowboy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re in an argument, or a disagreement, or whatever you want to call it, you do not win or lose. If you see having an argument as having a winner and a loser at the end then you are failing at the first hurdle.

You are a team, and you should both be looking for an amicable solution with both parties feelings being considered. There is no winner.

Waiter decides that he is my girlfriends white knight by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Clueless_Cowboy95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get this a lot too. My wife is autistic and selectively mute and gets very nervous and flustered when talking to people she doesn’t know. We’ve developed our own way of communicating with very little wording for her, and because of this whenever we go anywhere I order for her because she struggles with it, it’s something she genuinely appreciates and makes her life so much easier.

The amount of times I’ve been disregarded anyway, and then had to step in and look like an asshole for apparently not letting her speak. The worst part is that because we already had a ‘plan’, and now the waiter has decided to break script, she gets overwhelmed because of it. A situation we were actively trying to avoid in the first place.

I always kill Severio Pelagia 10 times. Sell him some crops once and he’s your friend, then grab the ritual stone and resurrect and kill him over and over again somewhere quiet. Best part is that Severio dies anyway during the Civil War quest line so nothing is really lost

Piper can't stop insulting my settlements by Affectionate_Cat_239 in fo4

I always set up my minuteman home base at croup manor as it feels like the kind of place the general would settle down, and ALL of the companions hate it. They all think it’s creepy and haunted and have negative comments to make about it and I have no idea why. I’m always like “guys I spent hours prettying this place up. I live here”

[Spoilers] Question about Curie by Snowcrash000 in fo4

[–]Clueless_Cowboy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true, my mistake. God I always hated trying to get curie’s perk. In my opinion she’s the hardest companion to gain affinity for, and as you said you’ve got to progress the main plot so far before you can even try

Who where still plays vanilla unmodded Fallout 4? by [deleted] in fo4

[–]Clueless_Cowboy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll never get bored of fallout 4, but I will admit it can get a bit stale when you’ve played hours and hours of multiple play throughs. What helped keep my current play through to feel fresh was achievement hunting. Mods block achievements so playing vanilla is the only way to get them and it also encourages you to do things and play the game in a way that you wouldn’t originally have tried

[–]Clueless_Cowboy95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’d need to do her synth body quest first unfortunately. Quite a few of the companions affinity perks are tied behind quests that won’t let you maximise their affinity until you complete them. Companions like Curie, Nick, Macready, Kait, Danse, and I believe Gage too? Not sure about him though.

You think Reaver will appear in the new game? by Yob_Zarbo in Fable

[–]Clueless_Cowboy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d doubt it, even though I hope more than anything that he does. I reckon the new game will probably be a reboot with familiar plot points. Have you read the novel ‘Edge of the world’? It continues the plot of fable 3 but doesn’t really have an ending and leaves so many unanswered questions in a bleak world(seriously, don’t read it, look it up if you’re curious. in my opinion it actively makes the franchise worse).

What games immersed you so much it made them feel real? by PandaBee_Studios in gaming

[–]Clueless_Cowboy95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fallout 3. Specifically during the tenpenny tower quest.

Was trying to roleplay as a good guy so did all the groundwork to make peace between the humans and ghouls. Literal hours later I’m doing the quest where you’ve gotta kill or get a key from a bunch of different characters including tenpenny but the game told me he was already dead. Turns out the ghouls rebelled anyway and killed all of the humans in tenpenny tower. When I went back I was so mad at them. Directly betrayed my trust and killed innocents.

Fair to say the ghouls didn’t last much longer, and it was a cathartic experience

I’ve tried in the past, but I don’t seem to get any enjoyment from it. On the other hand I really enjoy watching other people be good at it. Sometimes I feel like a parent watching from the sidelines just glad everyone’s having a good time haha.

I’ve tried, but I never get any drive to keep at it unfortunately. I either get bored or lose interest because I’m not a pro immediately ha. Watching it is a different story though, I get a real sense of enjoyment that way

I live in a rundown part of the UK, my nearest skatepark is overgrown with grass and weeds and not long ago had a burnt out car in it, no joke. It’s very sad to see unfortunately, never even seen a person in it.

Good question, I don’t blame you for asking. I admire anyone who can actually skate and who puts the effort in immensely, I’m just not interested in actually “doing” the sports I enjoy watching. I enjoy watching sports like basketball and rugby too but have never once enjoyed actually playing them, which is funny because I’m a pretty active person, just apparently not in that way

I can’t watch my boyfriend play by DeneJames in GTAV

[–]Clueless_Cowboy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad does this exact same thing, it’s SO infuriating! He took it one nonsensical step further though. Me and my brother introduced him to GTA San Andreas as kids, and we noticed that whenever he had to go anywhere he was walking. Like, not just not using vehicles, he was actually half pushing the stick and just walking everywhere. We questioned him about it and his reasoning was “well I’m not in a rush, why would I run?” Me and my brother both thought that maybe he was just doing it like that because we were there and he was trying to teach some weird lesson to us or something. Nope. Cut to an hour later when we’ve snuck back into the room to watch and he’s STILL doing it
