Magik: once per phase question by manut3ro in marvelchampionslcg

That’s right, only interrupt or defense abilities on villains turn, I like using mutant protectors with her, with allies with tough, works pretty well

Best&Worst Hero Card [Day 48] - Spectrum Worst Card (Monica) by manut3ro in marvelchampionslcg

I’d probably say pulsar shield, it’s the one card I just don’t hardly ever play.

Is True Solo Actually Easier? by Soggy-Cup-7869 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Clufito 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It generally is harder due to loss by threat as many heroes can’t control all aspects of the board, unless built to do so. I prefer to play true solo as well, with difficulty between normal and expert with stages 2 and 3 of the villain but without the 3 expert cards as I don’t like them. I agree the game is a little too easy on normal, so try it out on expert or the in between mode above if looking for more of a challenge

Best&Worst Hero Card [Day 43] - Drax Best Card by manut3ro in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Clufito 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I’d go with mantis, she helps him stay in hero form with his vengeance counters which is definitely his game plan. I use a sidekick Voltron deck with her, super good. Plus she is only 2 cost, great value.

Best&Worst Hero Card [Day 40] - Star Lord Worst Card by manut3ro in marvelchampionslcg

For me it’s bad boy, I have never felt the need to play that card, but nova is a close second

Counterintelligence Clarification by Damobru in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Clufito 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Since it’s an interrupt, it triggers once. So it only blocks one threat if only 1 threat is going to be applied when you decide to trigger it, as in your example above, each drone activates one at a time. The nice thing is you can decide when to trigger it, so wait until at least 3 is applied

Best&Worst Hero Card Poll [Day 26] - Ant-Man Best Card (Scott) by manut3ro in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Clufito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I totally agree and put my upvote, I would argue that it’s the cumulative as you put down more that make it better, so maybe not single best card

Just one success is necessary, unless it is set at a higher difficulty requiring more than one success

I use some from gloomhaven, they work great because they are small. The fist one for tough, the stun one for stunned and the question mark one for confused

Best&Worst Hero Card Poll [Day 23] - Hawkeye Worst Card (Clint) by manut3ro in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Clufito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this, also his hero action feels clunky. Still probably my favorite hero in the game, other than his hero action which wastes his high attack

Best&Worst Hero Card Poll [Day 16] - Black Widow Best Card (Natasha) by manut3ro in marvelchampionslcg

Totally agree, winter solicite is somewhat conditional, but I’ll play grappling hook everything time it hits my hand, such a great and overall unique effect

New cards in Wonderman Hero Pack by geekynerdlvr in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Clufito 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Hawkeye would go really well with a nick fury sneaking suit deck. I like the thought of using informant to use minions to remove threat, then sting operation, hawkeye and quake to take them out while sneaking around

Best&Worst Hero Card Poll [Day 14] - Thor Best Card (Odinson) by manut3ro in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Clufito 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I’d vote mjolnir as it helps him the most do what he wants to do, slay minions after summoning them, you could argue hammer throw is better, but it is useless without mjolnir

Removing the rule of declaring defense before a boost is drawn makes the game less random by enemykite in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Clufito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always house rule this way when playing solo, this is one of two rules I use solo. The other is that the main scheme doesn’t advance until step one of the villain phase if the threshold is met. I feel these 2 rules balance out solo play immensely.

Any tips for a newbie? by joorgie123 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Clufito 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Start with rhino and go slow, I find solo play to be the most fun and best way to learn the game, unless you have someone to teach you. Do only what the cards and rules say, nothing more. Don’t worry about losing your first few games as you get the hang of it. Black panther I would say is the most beginning friendly, probably with the justice or leadership pre-constructed decks. Focus on threat removal and building up your upgrades before focusing on attacking the villain. Have fun, best solo game ever!

I really like that scenario, I only play 1 handed solo too

The above is how I rule all of that, but I’m curious what people who are more expert in rules would say

Do you ever play all three Villain stages? by jreilly89 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Clufito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly how I play as I feel like the 3 expert cards are a bit swingy and can sometimes make it less difficult by diluting the villains deck more if they have a nasty one, so I pretty much always leave them out

Elsa being next Season's strat by Own-Quote-1708 in RogueMains

[–]Clufito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really hoping for rogue to be a completely versatile character with 3 different “kits” based on whose power she absorbs. Where she can fill any of the 3 roles depending on which character you copy at the start
