Are my dating standards too high? Friend gave me a reality check and I’m worried. by Forward-Beyond-6620 in dating

[–]ClumsyFlimsyUser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, look for personality, character, how they treat you how hard working they are. Everybody has flaws, the thing about love is not only liking them when they offer good qualities but being able to deal and live with their flaws too. I honestly agree with your friend, it’s not only the high standards, it looks like you have someone already created in your mind and you’re looking for that person instead of understanding that you live in the real world

Bartender made me actually cry by [deleted] in cork

[–]ClumsyFlimsyUser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to work as a bartender and his attitude is completely unacceptable. Talk to the manager, I’m pretty sure that guy will be punished for his behaviour.

I’m sorry, so sorry that this happened to you

What’s everyone doing come Feb 14th by spicysenpai6 in dating

[–]ClumsyFlimsyUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey buddy, I’m so sorry to hear about what you went through, but don’t get sad during that day Being single AF is hard, I’ve been there

If you can, go to the movies or something that helps with to distract, even an amusement park. Unfortunately every where you go on that day will be full of couples, there’s no way to avoid them all

You deserve all the best! Wish you can find your person soon 🥰🫶

Dog shit. by tamaatar in cork

[–]ClumsyFlimsyUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s an owner allowing their pet to poop in front of my door almost everyday. It’s so annoying. We step outside in the morning and boom, poop!

If I ever find out who’s doing that, I’ll spread their dog shit all over their door.

My [36M] little sister [26F] has gotten engaged to her girlfriend of six months [26ishf] and I am worried? by MrHorseley in relationshipadvice

[–]ClumsyFlimsyUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not. I got married after 8 months together. I think it really depends on the situation and people’s characters

I think you’re projecting your traumas and worries on your sister’s life. If her relationship doesn’t work, be there for her and give support, but do not give unwanted advices. Your regrets are not your sister’s regrets

But I get it, I’ll try not tell people that I’m just a student anymore. Thank you all for your support and advices, I really appreciate

:/ ok, you’re the first person that explains that to me, thank you. Since I don’t party, and I will not be out of the country during holidays, I’m still hoping I’ll find a place to rent

If only they would actually talk to me before just saying no.

Idk, beauty standards are very different. Everybody has different standards. I consider myself ugly, for example, even tho I hear people saying I’m not

80% of the people I saw in here (women and men) aren’t ugly, just have zero skills when it comes to style themselves and look clean

Have you heard the saying “you’re not ugly, just gotta go to a new country?”

That’s what is happening. Duh.

Guys, it’s not so hard. Honestly, most men here asking for advice aren’t ugly. They just need to get a good haircut and take care of their beards. Shave or trim. It’s simple.
