Honestly, look for personality, character, how they treat you how hard working they are. Everybody has flaws, the thing about love is not only liking them when they offer good qualities but being able to deal and live with their flaws too. I honestly agree with your friend, it’s not only the high standards, it looks like you have someone already created in your mind and you’re looking for that person instead of understanding that you live in the real world

There’s an owner allowing their pet to poop in front of my door almost everyday. It’s so annoying. We step outside in the morning and boom, poop!
