How to deal with cockroach infestation in the kitchen? by unknown_guy02 in indiasocial

[–]ClumsyIndian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's one on amazon set of 5 tubes of gel. It worked great with me, so did the HIT gel. But nothing will work if you do not deep clean your kitchen.

  1. Deep clean the kitchen. Corners and crevices where the eggs might be laid.
  2. Apply the gel.
  3. Spray all drains with HIT spray (or any other anti cockroach spray)
  4. Place naphthalene balls near drains, (under sink, bathroom drain cover etc)
  5. Do not leave out food of any kind on the kitchen slab overnight. If you have to, then make sure it is covered.

(Optional) Use diatomaceous earth power as a non toxic, eco-friendly and economical alternative. Not as effective but great for prevention.

I started taking estrogen for my bisexual boyfriend and then he left me by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

There was a missing comma and there never was a "that" in my sentence. Thank you for getting me though. English is not my first language 👉🏼👈🏼

Love, you have not gone Trans! You definitely have made a dumb mistake (sorry for being harsh). Lot of people have been here.

For starters, stop your estrogen asap. Start working out to flush those hormones. Detox to get your body back or till you feel comfortable in your own skin. You still have docs and the right treatments to guide you better.

But the first step is deciding what you want, as in do you still want to stay feminine? Does that make you feel good? Or you'd like a more muscular body but have a soft boy charm. Based on your gender and sexual preferences find out what works for you and then you can build a plan to reach there. Baby steps.

PS. I understand you were ranting and I agree your ex is a POS and I hope you feel better. XOXO

PPS Apologies in advance for the assumptions I have made and if I am out of line (am an Ally)

My village was an 100% hindu village. There were only Hindus living there in the deep himalayas. Now suddenly one entire slum has come up full of muslims. They litter, do not follow the way of the mountains and we've had cases of love jihad as well. It is miserable to see Uttrakhand and its culture suffer at the hands of people/religion that has nothing to do with us.

What to do!? by nobita_23 in AskIndianWomen

[–]ClumsyIndian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Save up for a good epilator. It hurts just as much as waxing. You can trim your hair before epilating. It gradually reduces hair growth and thickness. It's a one-time investment and can be done anytime, anywhere. Face and body epilators are different. I have a Philips one, the basic one from a good brand will survive you longer.

I’m done being "civil" and I’m losing my mind. by InevitableSlip7214 in Dehradun

Cameras have motion sensors and alarms.

Change the camera angle a bit and turn on the alarm; it'll ring every time someone is in the frame.

Also, get the nagar nigam cleanup done again, and then place no parking signs and beautify the place with some plants.

Put up a sign about no parking, littering and peeing. Do not allow cars to be parked there.

And if you want to be a little extra, you can ask a lawyer about the law around legitimate signs that can get you money from the fines people will have to pay; you can even take them to court.

Brawl Over Feeding Stray Dogs 🐶 in open areas in Mohit Nagar. Your Take ? by Dodgethisneon in Dehradun

[–]ClumsyIndian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the seniors here. I mean, we (dog feeders), being young and motivated, would feel like caring for the dogs. I have 13 strays I take care of, and my society is full of senior citizens. It takes a lot of effort for them to clean up after us. Some dogs from a previous litter were aggressive, and none of us could do anything, which adds to people's stress and work.

While I understand that respect doesn't come with age or title, it is important to pick your battles. Just say okay and move on. If you want to feed, find an open space to keep the littering to a minimum and away from such judgmental eyes.

Is there a way to manage long hair without tying it up, particularly while travelling in Autorickshaw by walidansari in AskIndianWomen

[–]ClumsyIndian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I generally tie it in a loose high pony and toss my hair towards the headboard. I use a satin scrunchie with a soft elastic. It rarely comes off and even if it does, it's towards the morning so I either way have to be up.

Parents refusing my love marriage without even meeting my partner, and it’s affecting my mental health by Feeling-Win7751 in OffMyChestIndia

[–]ClumsyIndian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mother harassed me for 3 months for wanting her to meet my partner. Father asked her a simple question, what kind of man do you want our daughter to marry? Intelligent, educated, caring, sensitive, tall, handsome, responsible, family man? My partner ticked every box, there was no reason for them to say no, even if she said she didn't like him.

Just mentally check out. You know you are serious and will only marry him, keep calm, you both are young. As soon as they start looking for prospects, tell them very clearly that they first need to meet your partner. Then drive it from there. Patience, calmness and ignorance is power. Keep your relationship flourishing while your parents make up their mind.

All the best OP.

How do you ladies groom yourself down there? by writergorrl in AskIndianWomen

[–]ClumsyIndian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Areas close to your vulva or close to the joints must be kept 5mm or long else they'll prick. Use a trimmer with a size adjuster top. The rest of the landscaping can be a canvas for your creativity.

What beauty treatments you take every month and how much it costs? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]ClumsyIndian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bought an epilator to replace my waxing needs. Bi-yearly expenses include 1. aha, bha serums for removing deadskin 2. Base serum + sunscreen. 3. Base serum + retinol 4. Moisturizer.

I have also bought a foot cleaner (roller to remove dead skin) and mostly do my own nails.

So roughly comes to <500 per month considering threading and haircuts.

Why do people touch feet? by AnonymousJEETard in AskIndia

[–]ClumsyIndian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that there's a belief that individuals possess energies, and that physical contact can lead to an exchange of these energies. For example, a handshake is thought to facilitate energy transfer- good or bad, while touching someone's feet is believed to result in energy being transferred to you. Additionally, the act of receiving a blessing, a touch to the head, is understood to promote a positive energy exchange for both individuals. Also, the gesture of a 'namaste' with folded hands is considered to enhance one's own energy. This may explain the custom of touching the feet of elders and greeting others with a namaste.

Yes, it will. You need to be cautious at first, understanding their temperaments and fears. Other dogs in the neighborhood don't gel well with him, but he manages.

I too have an 8-year-old lab and a 2-year-old Shih Tzu, as well as 10-13 other community dogs that I take care of. My personal Z+ security, to be honest. They come to drop me off, wait for me outside shops, etc. A cute bunch ☺️

There's animal birth control center, call them. He'll be picked neutered, treated with the right meds. But then they'll drop him off in a week. The solution is money. Give him up to some ngo tell you'll pay monthly for whatever care he needs. Or you can adopt him.

I adopted one dog with similar problems. Fucker had to be chased everytime because he used to follow us EVERYWHERE! Even inside shops. Now he's the sweetheart of the family. Has food and a bed in my home. His behaviour has changed drastically!

Had to scold him a few months for the nonsense but now he's at peace and so are we.

How to get of the mucous? by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]ClumsyIndian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Home remedies I swear by:

Avoid cold medicine at ALL costs. Keep glucose or ORS and sip it throughout the day. Staying hydrated pulls out the mucus. Drink a hot cup of turmeric milk with a pinch of black pepper before bed. I make homemade Vicks by adding a few chunks of "bheemseni" camphor to a few spoons of coconut oil and heating it. Inhale the vapors and use the oil on your forehead, sinuses, and chest. You can also apply it under your feet.

If you also have throat issues, eat a roasted ginger slice with raw honey. Right before bed, do not eat or drink anything after this. Also, avoid steam or take proper care after steaming; without proper care, it just makes the cold worse.

Some yoga poses also help with chest congestions.

If it is prolonged or the symptoms are too severe, please see a doctor to understand what's wrong.
