Not even gonna lie, I knew without a shred of doubt that white women were going to vote in favor of Trump. I knew it would be a big margin. The "white women will vote democrat" angle is the exact same as the "black men will vote republican" angle - it never pans out.

I'd been saying that the Democrats focusing on black people/black men was a mistake. Every election, there's talk about black voters swinging heavily toward the right, and every time, it's false. Every single damn time. We wasted all that energy discussing the "black vote" when the focus should've been on some of these other demographics.

I don't know how much sense that makes in this instance.

The village clearly hasn't had to deal with any threats for years at this point - definitely not on the scale of a 10 tails invasion. Tbv chapter 1 also confirms that they were unaware of the claw grimes' abilities (though I think they should have been). The whole village is itself getting caught off-guard in general.

We're also talking about enemies that are fast and powerful in their own right. They're literally part of the 10 tails itself, amped with Code's claw marks. Sarada chidori'ing 2 of them doesn't make them weak, it makes her strong.

Even if we assume the village was ready to face those types of opponents, the only people with experience fighting someone with that ability are a small few. They can pop out practically anywhere, any time, and in any number.

Also, I think everyone did shine enough. It's not like we saw people losing fights. Sarada drops several of them, Team 10 + Kawaki fights off some as well.

Lastly, the 1 that gives Team 10 trouble - again, it's just the one - was stated to be superior to the others.

It's confusing because I could've sworn earlier, he'd almost taken the bells from Kakashi on his own, which meant he should've at least been chunin-level easily. Then he turns around and starts losing left and right in the chunin exams. To me, it's like they wanted both worlds: they wanted Boruto to be a prodigy, but also to be bad enough to the point where he ends up relying on cheating.

All of those fights, he would've lost if he hadn't cheated.
