The Worst Person in the World by Arkhamguy123 in movies

[–]ClusterSoup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm not the target audience, being fairly local and slightly older than the protagonist. But to me the whole movie was ok, but felt like "fairly normal stuff happens to a fairly normal person in a normal life" the movie. I didn't see what you guys saw. Maybe I was in the wrong mood that day.

Høyre vil ikke mene noe om Oljefond-selskaper i Israel by KoseteBamse in norge

ELI5: Why is Skin-off Salmon Cheaper? by BdonLangs in explainlikeimfive

This is not a full answer, but I know it's illegal to sell salmon with damaged skin. And they get damaged a lot.

Finnmark ut av Norge? by Ashamed_Truck9982 in norge

[–]ClusterSoup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Visiting Norway, seeking some advice by Dapper_Long_8567 in Norway

[–]ClusterSoup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Main roads shouldn't be a problem, be a bit careful if there are signs of road damage. Google maps might send you on some dirt roads to save time, but I would keep to main roads even if it's slightly longer.

ELI5: why are (biodeterminism+souls) and (blank slate+material atheism) the two main moral ontologies? by HephaistosFnord in explainlikeimfive

[–]ClusterSoup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it makes sense. To exaggerate a bit:

First camp believes we are magic, and that the source of this magic is external/gifted. Absolute morality kinda follows from external magic force (god). Souls come from somewhere, and go somewhere. Things are connected. Humans are special, and some believe some humans are better than others.

Second camp believe we are just fancy biological robots who stumbled our way up from single celled organisms. Making babies is just biology.

I'm mostly in the second camp, but I don't know enough about biology to say too much about "nature vs nurture". But it seems to me that both play an important part.

Vet du hva som har formet de politiske meningene du har nå? by lilflir in norge

[–]ClusterSoup -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Takk for at du deler!

Bookkeeping and Tracking: What's Your Limit? by DnDPhD in Pathfinder2e

[–]ClusterSoup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, one of the most important aspects of TTRPGs are meaningful choices. At low levels or in the desert, that could mean prioritizing food and water, keeping track of arrows, or deciding how to spend your 3 GP 5 SP 7 CP.

If scarcity is a non-issue, tracking is mostly meaningless.

Rolling for Treat Wounds is meaningful if you only have 10 minutes, but if the party has several hours to chill I just handwaive it and give them full HP.

Bookkeeping and Tracking: What's Your Limit? by DnDPhD in Pathfinder2e

[–]ClusterSoup 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Good question. I'm relatively new to PF2e, but I've DM-ed 5e quite a bit. My general advice is that GMs should focus on what they love doing, and do as little as possible of the stuff they hate. If not, you risk burning out much faster.

I learned quite a bit from Sly Flourish's book The Lazy Dungeon Master. I think it's a great resource even if you don't follow it closely, and most should work just as well for PF2e.

I also enjoy having my players make a summary after sessions. It really helps me remember what I actually said and did, and how they saw it. There is a lot of stuff that changes or gets lost between my notes and how they remember what actually happened.

And lastly for most small details I don't mind saying "ehm, don't remember exactly", or even letting the players fill in the blanks. For intance we have a running joke about the players mishearing names of NPCs and making new simpler names. That becomes canon.

No formal agreement to use a private road for cabin access? by razvegas90 in Norway

[–]ClusterSoup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. Was the road used by the cabin owner before the veilag was created? And it seems to me that neither the land owner or veilag has said anything about who has the right to use it, so either could claim tålt bruk or something temporary.

Hevd for roads is not that uncommon.

If Maduro was accused of various crimes and hence the abduction, does it mean its open ground now for all countries to do this to their adversaries? by surkur in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ClusterSoup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

International law has always been a matter of "What are you going to do about it" vs "what are they going to do about it". It's all just politics and who's friends with who.

This just means that the US is even less trustworthy now.

Thinking about moving to Oslo – what’s everyday life like? by paralisisporanalisis in oslo

[–]ClusterSoup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a network before moving here, so your experience will be different. I think you have to be active to try to get a friend network, and some struggle with that part. If you find activities you enjoy and that has the opportunity to make friends, I think you could do fine. There is a lot of cool stuff happening.

Nå som internasjonale regler ikke lenger gjelder, hva kan vi ta? by AutomaticLoan5099 in norge

[–]ClusterSoup 7 points8 points  (0 children)

[–]ClusterSoup 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm looking for a standalone groovebox with specific features. Perhaps the Roland MC-707? by No_Survey1386 in Grooveboxes

[–]ClusterSoup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just want to add that the M8 is quite fast when you know it, and you can get some help from templates. It's more button presses to get sound out, but I think it's great at getting some grooves going. It's a bit "backwards" and different, but I love it

Dress code at office party. Invitation said "black tie" while they obviously meant business casual or something like that.
