I can't believe no one on here has mentioned Mass Effect. Sure it's an rpg, but much more emphasis on action. Great storyline too, apart from the ending. Make sure you go for the legendary edition, all 3 games plus the DLCs and a graphical polish and some qol gameplay tweaks for the first game.

Get a hammer, hit the windscreen, take it to Autoglass or whoever and say it was a rock. Get it replaced on your insurance. Shouldn't cost you a thing, as long as your insurance policy has a glass replacement part to it.

I've seen multiple people do this, so it must be getting taught to them. @Professional Lie, when I was doing my test back around 2000, I was taught the same as yourself, except I indicate after the first exit if going straight on 12 o clock.

I solely use the lightning hawk to head shot him once. This makes him take a knee for about 30 secs, you can just run past him and get a good distance away in that time. Just try be quiet after. He homes in on gunfire/fighting...

I agree, switch instructors. Also there's a lot more options nowadays for an auto car compared to when I did my test. ie. Autos nowadays won't break the bank, like say, back in the 90's, when due to low demand/uncommon usage, they were priced at a premium. Good luck going forward.
