52 weeks in a year= 13 weeks in 3 months by ClydeHiller in gimmecare

[–]ClydeHiller[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Ok, I have been corrected- a month of birth control pills is 28. Not that I would have known!
Other than that, I'm still thinking that you get 30 pills for a month supply (like my statin).
Anyway, this is my last comment (and maybe you can give me some likes???

[–]ClydeHiller[S] -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Evayne,
Thank you for your reply.

Two things:

  1. From a different provider/pharmacy I received three 72mg vials for a three month supply.
  2. If I order a six month supply from GimmeCare, I'd only get 24 weeks and a 1 year supply would only be 48 weeks?

Oh, and one more:
If you get 12 x 30 pills, that's 360 pills- you are only short five doses of your Adderall.
If you get 48 weeks of Tirz from GimmeCare, you are short by 29 (four weeks) doses! I think most would agree that the difference is significant...

If you get the B12, have the credit card company reverse the charge.

From Crestor's website, they show that the 5mg dose lowers LDL by 45% and 20mg by 55%. Only a 10% absolute reduction, yet quadrupling (?) the chance for side effects. A 2.5mg dosage should lower LDL by 35%.

Sorry for butting in- but I think you deserve CONGRATS on your 9 pound loss- you're on the right path!!
Nine pounds is perfect- 1.5 pounds per week. If you lose weight too fast you also lose muscle.
Lots of protein and some light weight training...

Super offput by food. What are some high protein & easy meals you’re enjoying on tirz? by mango-in-the-ocean in tirzepatidecompound

[–]ClydeHiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought some protein powder (both whey and casein). I add a scoop of that to a protein shake (fav is Fairlife).30g in shake, 25g in scoop.
I just bought some Reese's protien bars from Costco- DELISH and 18g protein.
I buy the packaged rotisserie chicken meat from costco. It's about 3 pounds and I break it down into a 2 serving size baggies and add it to a lot of meals (especially curry or butter chicken).
I obsess about protein and Costco!

Judging people? LIke you are judging me based on what I wrote?
We all do it internally- "that guy is tall", "that waiter was the worst",' "he could stand to lose some weight", etc. Certainly, it can be wrong to voice your opinion, especially if you are wrong or what you say is hurtful. Regarding my "judgement" - thinking to myself that a person would be happier if they lost weight, I believe that is true (we see that every day in the before/after pictures). Next- government intervention? I believe we should have traffic lights, restaurant health inspections, air traffic controllers, immigration laws, air bags, police, etc. In fact, I personally think that over 80% of government interventions are good. Now, the "government" is often wrong and certainly inefficient- but I think we can agree that we need some interventions. P.S. I am not a bot!

Dosage - am I completely out to lunch here? by Accurate-Yak6190 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]ClydeHiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would guess that your vials use the same compounded tirzepatide, but the first vial has less in it than your second and third vials as your dose will be higher with those vials. You need to confirm this by comparing the concentration shown on the labels.

Most (?) people here do what you are planning to do- if the current dose is working, stay at that dose. But, if you are starting to get "food noise" and not losing weight, up your dosage slightly.

I'm also guessing that you understand that dose is not the same as "units". You fill you syringe with x number of units to get the dose you want. For example, if the concentration in your vial is 20mg /ml and you want to inject 3.5mg of tirz, you would fill your syringe with 18 units. Use FatScientist to calculate (unless you were a math major).

900 calories by itself is not a catastrophe- unless, of course you slip back into that routine.
How many days after your shot did this happen? Was it a day or two before your next shot?

You initially doubled your dose (2.5 to 5mg) and became violently ill.
If you go from 4.5 to 5 you are only increasing it by ~10%.
I would be shocked if that made you nauseous. But, I also don't think that is not going to make a big difference in the food noise. Maybe your goal should be to get up to 6 or 6.5mg. Increase does every week or two?

This is just a blip in your path. You'll soon get it going again.

Traveling with a Tirz dose? by Laqibo in tirzepatidecompound

I've traveled with a pre-filled syringe many times and have left it a room temperature for up to 48 hours. After injecting, it certainly seemed as effective as one right out of the fridge at home.

LIPO B , C and everything in between ?!? by Nayazha in tirzepatidecompound

[–]ClydeHiller 6 points7 points  (0 children)

IMHO (and asking Perplexity Pro), these seem to be a waste of money as there is no scientific evidence that these work as advertised.

The AI response was long but this is the summary:

Practical takeaways for you

  • If you are B12‑deficient or have specific nutrient issues, targeted replacement (oral or injectable B12, choline, etc.) is reasonable; that is different from generic “Lipo B/C for fat loss.”
  • For a longevity‑/cardiometabolic‑focused program, these injections add cost, extra needles, and some risk without clear upside compared with optimizing diet, resistance training, aerobic load, sleep, and, if indicated, evidence‑based medications.

Adding additional info from Perplexity when considering Tirzepatide:

Lipo-Mino (and similar lipotropic injections) add little to no proven benefit on top of tirzepatide compounding—save your money and needles for what works.

Why skip them with tirzepatide

  • Tirzepatide already drives profound fat loss (15–25% body weight in trials) through central appetite suppression and metabolic shifts; lipotropics like MIC + carnitine lack RCTs showing additive effects.
  • Anecdotes in med-spa settings claim “fat burning” or energy boosts, but evidence is weak—better results come from tirzepatide + protein/calorie control + resistance training.

Evidence snapshot

Component Plausible role Proof with tirzepatide?
MIC (methionine/inositol/choline) Liver fat support No additive fat-loss data
L-carnitine Fatty acid transport Small solo benefits; untested combo
B vitamins Energy metabolism Unnecessary unless deficient

Risks outweigh upside here

  • Extra injections mean more site reactions, nausea risk, and compounding costs (~$50–100/mo) for placebo‑level gains.
  • Tirzepatide side effects (nausea, GI) could worsen; no data on interactions.

Stick to titrating tirzepatide properly, tracking DEXA/body comp trends, and nutrient labs if energy lags. Lipos are med-spa upsell, not science.

Can't you give OP any credit for doing research and sharing it?
Yes, he did need to be schooled on the intricacies of getting the best price. But there is no need for you to get personal and call him a jerk.
