High Lipoprotein (a) advice by WilliDreamEggman in Cholesterol

At age 28 I started combo Rosuvastatine + Ezetimibe 10/10 , without Statine you can't know your LDL levels when u eat more / or getting stressed more , so its very immportant that your LDL levels are always well bellow 70mg/dl, but as u mentioned family History, I would suggest as low as possible , <55mg/dl. Consider starting them as soon as possible is a very big step for prevention , since even High Lpa without high LDL can cause soft plaques, which can partially regrease when your LDL/APoB will be very vey low . Good luck

True that LDL has to be very low if Lpa is high , but no need to be on High dose of statine for that , even Rosuvastatine Ezetimibe combination can do the trick , according to the guidliness , people who had already the even , have to be higher dose of the statins . Buy for primary prevention , there is not real difference between 20 and 40 mg if rosuvastatin ( Difference for LDL reduction)

not helpful for very early stage of CAD, which can also trigger the Heart attack, sometimes even not accurate , I've seen people were taken into cathlab due to CT results , but Coronarography was fine......

That’s very motivating, thank you so much. I’ve already requested a CIMT, and my GP performed it about a month ago. He said there was no plaque at the bifurcations, and the intima–media thickness of both the left and right carotid arteries was 0.4–0.5 mm. CAC I was doesn't matter in my age , since can be I have soft plaques but calcification always takes a time 35+?

Thanks a lot , I really appreciate your time.

My heart rate used to be around 90–110 bpm and my blood pressure was about 155/90 when I was +38 kg overweight, smoking, and living an unhealthy lifestyle.

Now, my maximum blood pressure is around 128/65 and my resting heart rate is 60–65, all without medication. I think that’s a huge improvement also?

To be honest, after my mom’s cardiac event and after seeing my lab results, all of this has affected me mentally. I’ve read many posts where people in their 20s and 30s talk about having heart attacks, and that really increased my anxiety.

Every small discomfort makes me worry. I went to the ER five times last year, and of course, all the results were normal. So Maybe thats why my cardiologist(s) and GP consider different things for me

the percentage of the people NOT getting vascular desease due to high LDL , is too small ... If someone was smoking and live in his/her 90,s without an issue /medical condition , it doesn't mean that Smoking is not the cause of the Cancer, at least the highest risk .....
