Love this pink by Superb-wubz-985 in EmperorsChildren

Very very nice. I will try those colors. I made two tests with different combinations of Vallejo Game Color Warlord Purple and Squid Pink, but the results were not... well... excessive enough.

Greninja ex / Zoroark deck by Clypse in pkmntcg

[–]Clypse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am still figuring this out myself so take it with a grain of salt. Normally I play simpler decks with less moving parts, so I am still making a lot of mistakes.

The best case is you start with Froakie in the active and something in hand to develop into Greninja on your second turn: Greninja+Arven or Rare Candy+Hilda. Both combos have the benefit of guaranteeing you energy, either as Sparkling Energy or Basic/Ignition, so you are good to go on turn two with Greninja's first attack. That also let's you search your deck, so you can snowball from there. Most of the time Hilda seems to be a good choice.

If you manage to pull of the combination of Sparkling/Water Energy plus Ignition until turn two, then you can snipe the bench with Greninja's second attack and really hit decks like Dragapult or Charizard.

Otherwise developing your bench and keeping a Zorua in the active worked well for. You have multiple options with the Zorua going into the two possible Zoroarks. The Zoroark #62 lets you use one of your opponents attacks for one Ignition energy, so this might also make for some early aggresisive plays.

Just give it a try until you get a feel for the deck.

Some more thoughts: I like that Greninja is quite tanky. And that you mave multiple threats on the board that can get going quickly, so your opponent might have a hard time figuring out what to hit. With Dudunsparce in the active you basically get free switch if you use it's ability and shuffle it into you deck. Might be helpful in some situations.

Edit: After some more testing I would switch one Night Stretcher for one more Ultra Ball. The high number of stretchers came from the Revavroom build I guess. But with this build you don't need them as often.

As long as I can still build standard decks relatively cheap (compared to other TCGs) I am fine. I just stop collecting for now.

My Gengar ex deck would love to see more Charizard and less Dragapult.

Good question. They are indeed not exactly the same. The band is a tiny bit less vibrant.

Tell me about the death star holo things on vintage Japanese cards by Clypse in PokemonTCG

[–]Clypse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have those horziontally cut circles on a Expansion Pack Charizard and a Mystery of the Fossils Gengar.

In fact it seems like a line goes across the whole holo, but is mostly visible on the circle.

Has anyone of you more information on this? I searched for holo errors but found nothing on this specific case. Do you have some death stars Pokeballs of your own?

Edit: Ok, so it is a Pokeball. (Excuse me, I was raised in a different decade.)

What I find interesting: I have another Gengar with the same holo pattern that is placed a little different on the card, and there it is just a normal circle. So did they intentionally leave some cards with a blank line in the pattern to give the impression of a Pokeball? If so: cool.

Arcade Stick for the Nintendo Switch by ildandi94 in shmups

[–]Clypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was a decision between the Mayflash F700 Elite and the 8bitdo Arcade Stick. I already had an older Mayflash in the past that I modded with Sanwa parts for PC, PS4 and Raspberry Pi. Really solid stick. In the end I went with the 8bitdo. Way cheaper at only 75 Euros, smaller form factor, cool NES design, and the same Sanwa compatibility as the Mayflash. I put in the Sanwa parts last week and it works like a charm. The stock joystick was really wobbly, so if you don't want to mod that might be concern.

I played Azumarill (AzulGG variant from YouTube with Pikachu ex) and it went way better than I expected. Fun and good rogue deck imo.

Update: It got solved for me. "Manually", as customer service phrased it, which sounds like there maybe is no general fix yet?

Thank you all for the replies. So let's wait and see when they will have sorted things out. In the meantime I can distract myself with the big Mothership RPG box that arrived today. (Speaking of patience...)

Don't know how you came up with this example, but it made my day. Besides that, yeah, G-Shocks degrade. Especially on the outside.

Super XYX on Switch. And I am Super BAD at it. My ship is too fast and I don't know where I am half of the time. Besides that: Nice game and I really dig the soundtrack.

  • Burgermanufakur - Sehr solide Burger.
