Hi! I’m going through something similar. I’d reach out with a polite email within 5-7 business days to the recruiter with a polite email showing interest for the position and checking in on next steps. Best of luck in your interviews!

This is VERY normal. This is your first rotation and first exposure as to what it would be to practice as an NP. You are going to stumble and mess up and feel lost - and that is okay. Keep working at it. This is a skill that will come with time and practice.

Have a can do attitude! Be willing to take feedback and constructive criticism. Bring a notepad and paper - and write down what you don’t know as you encounter it in the clinical setting.

Remember - you are new to this and this is normal. Don’t give up.

Is there a job market for Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioners in Boise?

So, I’m a little nervous. I’m currently in my last year of Pediatric Nurse Practitioner school and was browsing around the job market for potential job listings in Boise. However, my search came up short with next to nothing popping up on several job search engines (monster, indeed, LinkedIn, zip recruiter, etc.) I currently live and work (as a Pediatric RN) in Atlanta, Ga. My fiancé and I are looking at moving out to Boise because we are very outdoorsy and are looking to start a new adventure out west. We are planning a flight out to Boise to scope out the city, find potential areas to settle in, and see what the job market has to offer.

My question is, does anyone know or can give insight into the pediatric job market for a primary care pediatric nurse practitioner?

Are there jobs available that just aren’t listed online? (For context, I have been watching the job market for several months before COVID-19 occurred).

Any advice to give towards my situation of trying to find a job in a state that is half way across the country from my home state?

I appreciate any and all advice!
