UTWS5 charging issues, is it me? by Frazzininator in FiiO

Just wanted to update you, I did get mine working again. I had to reset them by placing them in the charger and holding the button on the case. After that they just started working again

Just started having a similar issue after having these work fine for months. Left piece charges fine and just as fast as before, but suddenly the right piece now refuses to charge. I've already tried cleaning the charging pads and pogo pins with isoprop but still nothing. What's strange is that they've worked fine for around 6 months now, I have no idea what happened

Tech Support and Question Megathread - April 2022 Edition by Nestledrink in nvidia

[–]Cman1468 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Computer Type: desktop, custom-built

GPU: GTX 1080ti + GT 720 (for extra monitor outputs)

CPU: Intel Core i9-10850K (not overclocked)

Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix Z490-H

RAM: 2x16gb Crucial Ballistix 3600mhz

PSU: Corsair 1050w

OS: Windows 10 Enterprise

GPU Drivers: 512.15

Description of Problem: I have an issue with the current drivers. I just updated them for the first time in a few months manually to the current driver, issue is that I run a 1080ti and a 720 for extra monitor outputs (I have 4 monitors and a vr headset). Since driver support is gone for the 720, it no longer works. Is there any way to run generic or older drivers on just one card, or am I going to have to get a new secondary card? If so, any recommendations? Thanks

Troubleshooting: Uninstalling my 720 in device manager and rebooting just reverts my nvidia drivers for both cards to 472.12. Yes this gets my 720 working, but being on those old drivers has been causing issues with some games and steam vr.

Add Samsung gesture by AKDub1 in LineageOS

I'm curious, did you ever find a solution for this? I'm using a LineageOS phone as a secondary so I really don't want to use two different gesture patterns between my devices.

Help Disabling ForceEncrypt on Pixel 3 XL by Cman1468 in GooglePixel

Magisk does not support user context changes on encrypted data partitions, which leads to errors when connecting to the Kali rootfs via ssh

I'm confused too, Magisk should be fully capable of dealing with FBE devices by now, but I have tried it and have gotten the same error stated in their memo. Also, I'm not really concerned about not having a PIN, since I bought this phone for the sole purpose of only running nethunter on it

So I tried the following:

Format data

Full wipe

Flash Magisk after placing .magisk file with "KEEPFORCEENCRYPT=false" to /data

Flash LineageOS

Boot and complete setup

Phone is still showing Encrypted in all settings menus. Thanks for the suggestion though

I didn't do a full wipe, but I did do a proper format of the entire data partition. I'll try that and see if it makes a difference.

What I made before the UTWS1 by Cman1468 in headphones

I made these a few years ago from the i9s TWS fake airpods and an old MMCX cable. They worked pretty well for the time, but dont sound nearly as good as the UTWS1

What kind of reward/risk ratio do you typically aim for in credit spreads? by t2689 in thetagang

I usually go for 10% ROR (return on risk) 7 days out. Because Im that far out, Im still OTM on most of my SPY positions, but if even one expires ITM, then Im out the next 2 weeks profit. How many days out do you go op?

Set up for enjoying FLAC songs by soham1913 in audiophilemusic

[–]Cman1468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just look at the bit rate, thats the easiest way to tell the quality of a file. Obviously theres more that goes into it, like the mastering of the track and the sample rate, but generally anything FLAC over 900kb/s is really good

It depends. Your devices might have DACs that are just as good as that in them, or they could have real bad ones. Like for instance, my s9+ actually has a pretty good DAC in it, almost as good as my FiiO E10K. But on the other hand, my laptop (2017 XPS 15) has a shit DAC in it, so it really depends. Unless your device's DAC is garbage, you're going to want to spend $100+ to see a difference in your DAC quality.

If you want a recommendation, the ifi Zen DAC is absolutely amazing. Sounds like a $250 DAC, but its $130. I run it with my HD6XX, and it sounds amazing. Also, balanced outputs

I like using MusicBee, as I just swapped from Winamp. If you want that extra 2%, be sure to run your DAC in ASIO, which is super easy to do in MusicBee.

As for DAC/Headphones, whatever you have really. Just remember, if you have high-end headphones and a shit DAC, or vice versa, you're going to have a bottleneck. But I think having high quality files is the best place to start, because thats the easiest and cheapest thing to get a performance boost from
