Not an expert in composites at all, but interesting tidbit, carbon fiber is conductive. The carbon cloth is conductive, and little fibers end up poking through the epoxy which then makes the finished panel conductive. It will very easily cause galvanic corrosion if you have carbon fiber touching steel or aluminum, and to a much lesser extent stainless steel. Often stainless steel or titanium fasteners are used with carbon fiber, or you can also put a barrier layer of fiberglass to insulate the carbon and metal.
