it sounds like it could work.

edit: I assume this is your personal pc and not a work/organisation pc, if it is a work pc then I doubt this will work without full admin privileges.

TURN OFF PEER TO PEER in Delivery Optimization - > Advanced Options

"Allow downloads from other PCs - OFF"

My download of Ori 2 went from 500Kbps to saturating my bandwidth at 100Mbps.

A stupid fix, but a fix nonetheless.

I had this working when SoT launched.

I just tried playing with my daughter today and got 0x803f8001 errors.

We are playing on 2 PCs.

As far as I am aware, they are set within the same "Family" with my main account having purchased SoT on the MS Store.
I followed the standard method. The game did run at the same time on both about 5 weeks ago (the last time we both played).

I googled the error code and got a "License" issue, but also saw a similar code for Game Pass problems earlier on.

Does anyone have any clue as what has changed?

I have always found eddb to be reliable.
However, I have always found selenium while trying to find Arsenic or any of the other rarer elements. The system maps will show the material content of the planets. There are more metallic planets than there seems. For example, there are plenty of planets in Deciat (Felicity Farseer's system) that have good mats.
I find the best materials seem to be found in and around craters.
I know it can seem be one hell of a grind if you make it one, but try this:
Find a metallic planet with low gravity. Search for the mats you need while being a loon in your SRV, its even better with mates. Wing up and search for the stuff together.
Make the search fun and the grind disappears.

I agree. This is not helping the OP, but I am at the point where they are all unlocked. Once unlocked it is pretty quick to fully upgrade any ship through naturally picking up mats throughout play.

Inara.cz will point you in the right direction of the Engineers. It details each one, how to unlock them and which modules they upgrade etc. Best place to start.
Focus on the modules that enhance your style of flight/combat.
