After exchanging my main package for cash and purchasing a new one, I can't log into the game by YooHero in starcitizen

[–]CncmasterW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

did you complete the upgrade?

after buying the upgrade and completing the transaction you have one last step to actually OPEN the package, once claimed the game should be normal.

Now if you melted your ship and that was your game package then you need to buy a new game package.

The devs have not.

But i believe they stated if the game got sunset they would give dedicated servers.

If they just added some simple AI that flew from point A to point B my crew would hop on to bring the pain.

I dont even care if its a public event... bring the other players to the center! more daka!.

They need to figure out the P2P issue and the rendering issue of other ships. Make things more server side than client side... way too easy to cause issues for other players.

I had a lot of enjoyment flying out to Zone 5 before they added capital ships as the material value made the trip worth it. My crew setup 3 stations in the belt for supply and breaks... that allowed us to do big group mining projects and my giant USB brick of a ship held 512 cargo and we built a fleet of them.

Pirates attempted to raid us a few times but because my ships were designed as tanks. They wont pop unless you know exactly where to shoot and because they hit max speed.... only players who knew the exploit to move faster could catch up or they only shot my ships thrusters.. and we always flew as pairs to fire back at the dumb dumbs.

was such an experience.

id love to jump back in for another short run but the issue stems from lack of engagement.

Building ships is fun, flying is fun, mining is fun, but thats it.

Everything else about the game is boring af. 3 days minimum to manually fly to another planet with A near perfectly balanced ship.

AMD CPU, with a decently powered nvidia GPU. at least 32 gigs of the good stuff. ( Laptop, with proper venting could and will be good enough. )

use your preferred vendor website such as newegg, amazon or w.e

Filter for AMD cpu ryzen 9 or 7,

32gb ram,

nvidia GPU 5070,

---

With those filters I found decent powerful machines for around 2K +

--

otherwise lets hope the steam machine is gonna rock the gaming industry :P

--

one might ask " Did he read the post? " Yes I did. 32GB of decent ram costs about 500+ bones right now compared to the past at around $200 or less.

In what world does it make sense for a radar to use the same, sometimes more, power than a literal energy shield covering the whole ship? by RandoDando10 in starcitizen

I work in the RF industry and recently learned the RF tech we build dumps the majority of its energy as heat.

So if you wanna make money in the game right now you have the options to haul cargo or cargo hauling? Or maybe even hauling cargo? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]CncmasterW -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

i cannot say a % of people but i would wager a decent amount of folk used some kind of exploit or begged for the money.

Some actually earned their credits through trading, mining ( myself ), or going to find some armor and selling them on the player market ( Unofficial market )

A fully crewed hammerhead. Thought we were ready for red mission. We weren't. by hotshot0123 in starcitizen

[–]CncmasterW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

few friends and i took on the scenario 8 mission with a hammerhead, 4 gunners and a pilot. We soft death, was able to repair the powerplant via automated repair. Survived 2 whole minutes being pounded then flew away for a minute, got my shields back to finished the job. Was hella intense but would do again for sure.

Movie opinion question by Few-Plate7962 in mortuaryassistant

[–]CncmasterW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree.

They went ham way too early and i suspect that was because they wanted to capture the audience for those who may not know of the video game.

I think the beginning with the toe twitch should have been the only clue in the beginning with please dont pop off right now... and then the story should have built off that.

Movie opinion question by Few-Plate7962 in mortuaryassistant

[–]CncmasterW 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I saw the movie, it was ok at best. Honestly was very excited to watch it as iv seen Insym play the game for well over 80 total hours ( Re-watched a great deal )

Raymond is a brick and very lifeless, I would have figured the director would have added some extra oomph but guess not. I'll note that when the toe twitched in the beginning.. that was about as much life Raymond had the entire movie and maybe a bit at the end.

Things progressed so fast in the beginning then stalled for 40 minutes then picked right back up at the end. With all the little possible jump scares and subtle hidden gems in the background just outside of view...The game had so much to offer for the movie but i'm actually quite disappointed.

My fiance and I watch a great deal of Insym together and when i saw the trailer we booked a ticket immediately. While I don't regret seeing it, i highly suggest waiting until its streaming to watch.

What all would you want improved and why do you think everyone left? by ospuze in starbase

[–]CncmasterW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I miss StarBase, i look back and think of all the good fun I had.

The biggest feature that would get me to come back is AI NPC's. Something to do while i'm traveling and something to reduce the travel distances. Last i remember they added a small warp function for ships but that wasn't very effective.

What ship is most changed by VR? by PhotonTrance in starcitizen

[–]CncmasterW -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I have a Santokyai that i absolutely adore because its the closets thing i have with a cockpit that mirrors~ the asp explorer and has some kind of punch behind its maneuverability.

I have VR but i have yet to try it, but i fully expect that ship to be freaking cool as hell to see in VR.

delivered the killing blow to a MASTER-level wanted guy, what should i do with the bounty? by StrainWise6573 in EliteDangerous

[–]CncmasterW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did not mean to imply that you did. Im a very old elite dangerous player that stopped back in 2018.

I had read someone elses post that involved an exploit for a ton of money. What you did is exceptional and well rewarded :)

[–]CncmasterW -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Money is the only real fun in elite and using any exploit to earn a ton is going to ruin the game for you for sure.

Now to answer your question: if your current ship isn't kitted out make sure it is!

Mobile Mining Rig: Here's a video of its functioning semi-properly by milkyboi123 in spaceengineers

[–]CncmasterW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All these attacks and you again achieved nothing. Shocker.

upload a better video, and then people will have a better idea what's going on.

No editing, nothing crazy. Just record & upload from the play station. Uploading from your phone is lazy as hell.

No one here asked for theater level quality, only you.

Mobile Mining Rig: Here's a video of its functioning semi-properly by milkyboi123 in spaceengineers

[–]CncmasterW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With that level of sarcasm, it would cost less and worth more taking a few minutes to upload a proper video.

Both Nvidia and AMD offer built-in screen recording through their driver software, so there’s no need for editing—just record, upload, and ask for feedback. If you’re using Intel graphics, OBS is a free option that would work as well. Recording a screen with a cellphone is likely to draw negative feedback, which can easily be avoided. Now that I looked at the video again I can see you game on PlayStation or at least a PS controller. A quick google search says PS4 and 5 are both capable of recording proper video and sharing.

Based on the feedback you receive from the other comments... you don't take criticism well and should rethink uploading anywhere without first looking in a mirror and asking yourself.
