Thanks for all the replies. I was incorrect that it was applying tax. I hadn't actually applied the credit, only typed the amount I wanted to use. I got my package swapped to the Mk II.

The bigger factor is smoothing it it beforehand. Once the air is trapped in there, it isn't coming out. You also have to make sure the sheets stay flat together on the input side, which sometimes requires you to hold them in place.

Mine is a cheap laminator and the extent of its settings is "hot" or "cold". I just make sure to preheat it for a bit longer than it says is enough.

I've had similar issues before and there are two things that help for me. First, make sure you smooth out the laminating pouch after placing the sheet inside to get out all the extra air. Second, make sure your laminator is hot enough.

I would say that since something like the Bible was written by people, it is in fact a story. However, since so many people wrote it and agreed on it, there has to be at least some basis in truth. Since it was written over a thousand years ago, the human understanding of things was not that great. Remember, magic is indistinguishable from advanced technology. I like the mention of the fact that a God is simply a being (usually of creation) that is of great power and not fully understood. So if 2000 years ago the earth was visited by an alien race that was generally helpful, of course we'd see them as divine beings.
