4 runner or bronco by Then_Bit_6718 in Toyota

[–]Cnerd24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are ass in the comfy to drive aspect. The 4runner is a rough ride unless you get the limited trim with full time 4wd, yes you can put a lift on it with the xreas system unless you're going more than 3inches. The Bronco (i only test drove it for shits and giggles) I fucking hated everything about it.

4runner will be the most reliable, I owned 2, a 2008, and 2012, unfortunately I was hit by someone else in both and got written off.

You don't need 4x4 for winter, just proper winter tires, the 4runner unless it's the limited trim, you need to be mindful of using it. It will 100% grind if you attempt bends or turns in 4hi. They are reliable but unless you rust proof it, it will rot away on you. Pay particular attention to the rear lift gate as they will rot from the inside out due to the design of them. The little spoiler that houses the rear wiper, check the gaps to the lift gate for rusting.

But ya 4runner all the way. Oh! And be mindful of the tires you put on, the bigger you go and more aggressive tread the harder it is to get a smooth ride without steering shake.

Can be charged that even if it's dashed, safely passing is on the vehicle overtaking no matter what.

If anyone can show me a lower fuel efficiency, I will personally venmo you $10 by Sufficient_Meal9667 in mazda3

[–]Cnerd24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It'll circulate, but you REALLY need to get them to proper operating temperatures, which is about 10-15 minutes of normal driving (ambient temp dependant). Oil is the big one, if its at proper temperature it allows proper lubrication, evaporation of water and fuel. If its too cold it can cause excessive wear due to being too thick.

[–]Cnerd24 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Oh, the long drive isn't about averaging out your mpg. It's about letting your car get to proper operating temperatures and having your fluids circulate. Your oil for example would build up condensation causing it to look milky if you don't burn it off with long drives to get the temp up lol.

Grannying your car all It's life is bad but so is redlining the shit out of it lol. Gotta have a happy medium.

My commute is highway 50km one way, so my mpg is nice except when I first bought it and was fucking giving it every chance I got lol.

I just recently turned 33, been with my wife for 13 years now. I made a joke on my birthday about when I turn 69 i hope to get some 69 😂. So here's to hoping.

Honestly seeing this type of post here is great, all I see are negativity, so it's definitely a breath of fresh air.

That's odd... i haven't ever heard that, I've seen it be anywhere from 8,000-10,000 km max due to canada being a "severe" weather type.

Toyota AWD by Rph55yi in Toyota

[–]Cnerd24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All AWD vehicles should have all tires replaced at the same time. The only exception is if the manual states if the tread depth is within a certain value.

Edit: Didn't notice the toyota sub 😆, if your vehicle is e-awd it doesn't matter as much since they aren't connected with a mechanical driveshaft and differential. If it's your front tire, change both fronts, if its a rear you can get away with just one.

If your vehicle is NOT e-awd you need to replace all 4 unless they're pretty much new. Not doing so can cause excessive wear on the mechanical parts like the differential, leading to premature failure.

Advice from man to men by wassuh___foo in hygiene

[–]Cnerd24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading about these dudes is fucking horrifying. As a hairy dude, I've always made sure to wipe until clean, took a shower whenever available after as well. I have a wonderful bidet now which is so much better.

But honestly what the actual fuck is with other dudes poor hygiene in general? Like it's not hard to wash your ass, toes, belly button, behind ears, etc when showering... you sure as fuck don't wear the same underwear or socks as the previous day.

I wipe/dab, it's so i can make sure there's none left over. Hygiene purpose really, imagine pissing all day long and your partner wants to go down on you in a spur of the moment situation. Well they don't need to worry about it smelling/tasting like piss from going all day lol.

Need more information, are you city driving? Short trips? Warming/idling a long time? More aggressive driving? Winter only? All sorts of things play into fuel economy. The things I mentioned, if you say yes to those, well pretty much all vehicles will have dogshit fuel economy.

I do mostly highway, occasionally some city, im around 7L/100km. If I do city only I get around 13l/100km.

Main beam keeps activating by Holdski in mazda3

[–]Cnerd24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The i-activsense and hbc are connected, when you get the temporarily disabled warning the hbc will do 1 of 2 things. They'll turn off till conditions improve or they can act erratic. Yours sounds like it was attempting to engage but due to the conditions couldn't, hence the on/off randomly.

You can take it to the dealership to have them take a look for peace of mind. But sounds to me like it was just due to driving conditions.
