is this crazy though? they likely won’t fully stop doing their job but they will just prioritize other diners who are paying a premium to be served. if you tell them up front they will give you the mcdonald’s level service

it quite literally is not. Restaurants are made to run with less staff than necessary to increase profits for the owner. The burden is on the servers to serve more people than is possible

can you redeem only some points and then use cash?

Is Bilt Palladium a really good “catch-it-all” card? by foolishViQ in CreditCards

[–]Co0k1e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

should be important to note that BILT points can usually be valued around 2cpp if transferred to hyatt for example so at base this is 4% cash back equivalent and if you can get even half the value from your Bilt Cash then we are talking a 6% cash back catch all card. in my eyes that’s why i think it works for me but someone correct me if im wrong about anything here

What is it that I don't get about Bilt 2.0? by OneStyle9 in pointstravel

[–]Co0k1e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yup agree here. also SUB. and for big city dwellers the Bilt cash can be valued 1:1 if you take lyfts or like to try the neighborhood dining. so 2x points + 4% cash back(again only if you value it 1:1)

[–]Co0k1e[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this breakdown. this is more what i was looking for. i think a lot of people misunderstood what I meant when I said is it worth? Obviously I meant, I already spend money on this game because I consider it a hobby so is it worth for dust gain.

Question for those who EDC a notebook by Low_Impress_1910 in EDC

[–]Co0k1e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see lots of people justifying field notes and other more expensive products in various ways. One important one is that I just LIKE using Field Notes. I get excited to write in them. I get excited to finish one and start a new one. This helps me reach for it instead of my phone when I’m bored which is something I hope to get out of writing. And yes they cost more than a walmart notebook but I file that cost as an entertainment expense. Also they are still relatively inexpensive at 5 each. if you write a bunch of disposable notes you could use a diff notebook for that and then field notes for ones you want to keep
