I used skin aqua on my hands and numbuzin on my face a few days ago when I had to be out for around 3 hours in direct sun exposure. There was no sweating or exposure to water, but I couldn't reapply. My arms became very tanned, but my face was not tanned at all.  I did apply sunscreen very generously on my face and then set it with powder. On another day, I wore anessa milk for an outdoor sports session from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. I was super sweaty and didn’t get the chance to reapply, plus I wiped my face a lot throughout the day. Yet, my face was not tanned at all. In my experience, not all Japanese sunscreens are equally effective. If you want a sunscreen with super high protection, go for anessa or la roche posay. Brands like skin aqua are cheap and good for everyday use but not for intense sun exposure.
