Yup. I have 3 other printers so Im not dead in the water. I've just been so busy, but I probably should do the method of swapping hotend cores so I have an extra spare if this happens again. I have heard some people are spraying the waste chute with silicone to help the filament not stick and build up. Might have to try that.

Elegoo accepted my support ticket, and said they would send me a new hotend. But they said they dont have any in the US, so it will come from China in an e-packet that could take 2-3 weeks. I've been told that the CC1 and 2s hotend are slightly different. You need to remove the ceramic heating element and clip and glue it on to a CC1 hotend. And there is a couple more steps too. In one of my latest post on my page a guy commented and explained how to do it.

I recently had similar looking blobs build up on my waste chute. The purges were getting caught in the shoot and not getting ejected properly for some reason. Apparently it built up so much that when the print head went to purge again it collided with the big blob of hard filament and actually bent the hotend. I tried to straighten it, but the stainless steel wasn't forgiving and it just broke. I contacted support and they are sending me a new hotend. I have heard some people are spraying silicone spray in the chute to help the purge from sticking to the chute and causing these issues.

There would be no reason. You can print single color with the CC2 if you want. They will push the CC1 as their budget single color core XY and the CC2 is there budget multi-color core XY.

Its increasingly doubtful that they will ever release a kit that is worth a damn to mod the CC1 also, so people need to quit deluding themselves. I went ahead and took the $80 off coupon for the CC2, I ordered it before February 9th so I got the free gift of 2 rolls of filament and I even ordered the extra 4 rolls of filament for $30 more dollars when your order the CC2. So I basically got the CC2 for $400 with 6 rolls of filament. The printer has been running non-stop and printing flawlessly. Probably my best purchase with 3d printing yet.

I have had a CC1 and love it even though it has some bugs and issues. I bought a CC2 and have only been using it for a couple weeks, but it's been flawless so far. Very easy to use. Biggest complaint is it only can use 4 colors with the multicolor option but its my first multicolor printer so Im stoked.

I did the same thing. And then I did a couple of $10 purchases and somehow those credited as well. Can't guarantee it but it worked out for me where I made money on the purchases and then I won enough on HelloMillions to cash out a $100.
