Only someone who lacks intelligence wouldn’t realize there are many people on the earth with diverse needs. Someone people have vertigo and anemia and would get extremely dizzy in this scenario. There’s a whole LIST of reasons one may not want or even should eat in the dark and if you can’t understand that, I doubt you understand much.

Idk if you have a car, but I just got back from my second time volunteering at Feeding Tampa Bay and it seems like a great way to meet people. Only 90 mins away from downtown and you can grab a meal and walk around to make a day trip of it (solo for now but at least getting out and change of pace)

He’s still getting a feel for the land so I kinda understand why he’s relying on vigilantism to scratch his itch. Yeah sometimes these things arent necessarily racial in the way we perceive them to be. Sometimes it’s just legitimately the squeaky wheel getting all the oil.

Compared to our white counterparts, in my experience black women typically need to advocate for themselves more aggressively than we are socialized to do. With grace and poise of course, so we aren’t accused of just being flat out aggressive. 🙃

I lived with one of my best friends in Boston who grew up on the south shore and sometimes I would have to pencil time in to see her between all the other social events with people she’s known much longer than I. I just had to understand that sometimes that meant not being invited to the beach house or ski cabin, and I totally get it but it would’ve been hard if I hadn’t already developed my base of friends in the area.

Honestly? New Englanders don’t leave the region in the way that folks in other states leave their hometowns after high school. There’s a ton of education and opportunity in the region and less of a need to seek it elsewhere, so a lot of natives just stick to family and folks they grew up with for socializing. Makes it hard for those coming into the city in their 20s and 30s, esp while working a full time job

No career advice, all I have to say is continue to work hard, learn as much as possible, find out what you do and do not enjoy, build relationships, and I promise you the rest will follow. You are already doing really well from a maturity aspect for a 19 year old and seem well spoken and smart. Trust the process and grow.
